Pacific Pulmonary Services-Class Action Lawsuit

With the base being so low 24k a year ($50 for O2, nebulizer with meds & CPap/BiPap.)
You are always fighting for commissions we could not afford to belng to a Union! I am a LIN (NO CARE) ex employee. I lived your pain. No support from DM - high turnover. My DM actually smoked when we had our raide alongs. One of my pulmonologists saw him smoke & called my cellphone to tell me that I need not come back. Embarrased I told him that smoking was good for his business! I do not smoke.
Build your doctor base, get the great training and them move on. Think of it as an internship because it is like you are working for free. My hardest issue is the empty promises. Providing Breathing is something that should not be left to amatures. They are all about the numbers and not patient care.

Yes they do pay their reps very little. QP3 is awsome man! Awsome or should I say wicked awsome for those Boston reps! Tough but i learned alot. I am ready to SELL! Come on over to our side man. Sure you get paid shit but it is soooo much fun man. I love selling O2! We should have an O2 rep union.

Is this still going on (the class action suit) in 2010. I would like to be in it. I was fires in the Novato, California area after almost 4 years with the compnay. And it was because another employee did something against their rules I was brought inot the firing squad.

Lexington KY Let Down!

I just came across this site and it makes me feel better to see that there are other folks who have been let down by them. Just recently Pacific Pulmonary(PPS) held a "Job Fair" at one of the area hotels, trying to recruit for Customer Services Reps in their Newly Opened CSR Center in Lexington. They posted this in the local paper and also on several radio stations. The economy being the way it is and looking for work, I decided to go to this job fair. When I arrived they handed me a clip board and asked me to fill out an application and then they would interview you.

I have extensive experience in Customer Service and I have a background in Medical Supplies like Oxygen Equipment, CPAP Machines, etc. I also am versed in Medical Terminology and Medicaid Procedures. After filling out the application and attaching my resume I was asked to take a seat. I only waited 20 minutes and then someone came out of the function room and asked me to step in. I spent 45 minutes talking to a recruiter. The person asked me questions like the following: "Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?"; "What are the most difficult problems you have encountered working in Customer Service?"; "How do you handle a customer who is agitated?"; "Are you punctual?". I answered all of these questions and gave ideas on how to handle difficult cases. At the end of the interview I saw the recruiter write on my application "Call this person" and then they told me someone from PPS would be in contact with me within the week. I felt pretty good when I left there. Well, a week past by and I get an email from them stating: "We enjoyed meeting with you and have seriously considered your qualifications. However, at this time we feel that there are other candidates who are a better fit for our organization". My question here is, who is a better fit? Do they want folks that really do not know customer service or have no knowledge on medical supplies or medical terminology?

I realize that no job or employment possibility is a guaranty, however I was very qualified for the position. The closing response just says Human Resources, no phone number and the email sender's address just say "Do Not Respond".

In my opinion this is a scam. After reading the complaints on this site, maybe it is a good thing they rejected me. FYI- Beware of this firm.

Re: Lexington KY Let Down!

Count YOur blessings. This company is HORRIBLE to work fo. Trust me, I spent 6 years there. Was treated like crap, then Was cheated out of my quarterly bonus. They had a 80%+ turnover rate when I left. It is that high for a reason. Even their CFO resigned after 10 years. BEWARE of this company they are a scam!!!!!!!!!

Dear Bitter Pill Swallow'r,

I am surprised you were able to pass the NoSpam! verification question. When you finally choose to go away, just go away. It is likely you are really an employee of one of the many turd companies that are trying to recruit form this company. Let me ask you a question...hmmm, rather, answer a question...when will you just get over your resignation/termination, and move on? Just Do It!

The turn around rate for PCC'S is 128%. As per JA at the meeting in Vegas 2010. I just left this company(if you want to call it that) You are only as good as your numbers from the week before. All the PCC is, is a paper chaser and a overnight OX bitch. They don't care about employees or patients. They only care about numbers. So if anyone thinks that they are special or real good at their position, wake up, you are only a number. If your numbers are not there, you will not be there long youself. Anyone who works for PPS,you need to wake up and get out and find a position where you could really provide services to the people in need. How can you sell a COPD patient oxygen when you CAN NOT sell them a bed to sleep in. We all know that when you have COPD it is very hard to sleep laying flat. If any person knows this business, STAY AWAY From PPS. No future or personal life. Get ready to pay child support on unemployment

Another dramatic turn in this thread.....ok SOCIALIST PIG. No boots left since you sunk so far deep in the dung you've been spewing out of your mouth.

Will not stop using Kennedy's words...free country remember. Oh that's right you want it to be Socialist with OBAMA! See it's already starting....

There is no suit and you all are wasting time *DMB* Nothing to see here, move on.

Hey Kool Aid drinker, Are you afraid of the truth. I wanted to let you know that I am still working for this company until I can find another position. Cleaning toilets would be a cleanier position than working for this company. At least you know the bad stuff will go down the drain. With PPS the amount of gray area things that they want done will be over in my life. I am recording all the thing that management want me to do, So in the future and the past will unite. This company has cost me my ability to take care of the patient. They are the ones that really pay the bills. We are losing them faster and faster.

Talking about toilets. I was told yesterday that Ted R and Jim Kelly(head of HR) fired a DM. They then went back into the room and out came Jim. Ted R fired Jim, back to Boston he goes. Who is running what in the company. Don't they know that Ted's head will not be able to fit through any doors now. Got to love PPS and what it is telling our competition about how we operate. We don't care about our own let alone our patients. We will not even talk about our doctors. They are way down on our list. Let me know if this is true

Your an idiot, Jim Kelly was not fired, least of all by Ted R. Get your facts straight before you post. I'm not opposed to a lot of what is said but when idiot like you pipe in on complete lies I have to put my foot down.

You must not have any feet to put down if you don't understand that it was not stated as a fact but was told, therfor you must be the fool. Sounds like a big one as as well.

OMG! take all that crap somewhere else and focus on the BIG picture!!
Very soon, people will be lining up for the real topic of this thread.( C.A.L).
Got it? Or do I need to spell it out 4U.??

Start with the Yellow Pages under "A"

I just found this site, what a suprise. All I can tell anyone is that my current RM told me to get the paperwork, sign and get the numers up and he don not care how it was done. Just do it or lose your job. So I took home a pile of paperwork and got everything done over the weekend. On Monday and during the week, I printed off the coversheets with the proper bar codes and sent them in. However I kept the copies in the event that he, or Medicare desides to back track and put this blame on me. After talking to my fellow coworkers at other locations, they had to do the same. Fraud is very true within this company because the leaders in upper management is all about numbers and what and who they can cut. Whether they have you sign the CIC, enviroment assesment or any other document, if not sign by the person receiving the services-IT IS FRAUD. You could go to jail. Right now I really need my job and I am praying that this is not going to be their way of doing business in the future. I have 2 small children and I can and will not go to jail for this company. I only had to do what I did to save my job under duress. I am looking for a new job however with the way the job market is, it may be awhile before I can leave. If anyone reading this and is offer a position with PPS, run and run fast away.

"Attorney" Got one. Anyone else got a good case?

How about this; Teddy R orders 3 location managers to do CPAP set ups-even though they have no training and are not licensed to do it. PPS investigates-one employee will not comment for fear of job loss- and finds 'no wrong doing', but 're-educates' Teddy on the laws. A month later, the 2 who told the truth are fired, and Teddy is promoted.

Or, how about PCCs dong walking oximeteries on patients to qualify them?

Or, operating locations within sleep labs that are not disclosed to NSC or accreditation orgs?

Tip of the iceberg.

Call Medicare. Be specific with names and dates and illegal actions that YOU have seen.
This allows investigators a directive to pursue.

Not surprised with Teddy R. making those demands. I refused and was fired within two days. I hope the higher ups or the one financially backing this operation see all these very disturbing and iilegal demands this jerk demands people to do or threatening to fire if illegal demands are done!! Karma is a bit&h!!
