Osteomed Corp.

I heard theyve had some issue with plates and screws. Also have questionable consultant agreements with doctors that have been working with them a long time. I guess some companys never learn i.e. Medtronic spine.

I heard their foot plating system finally got pulled from the market b/c of all the failures and complaints from across the US. A buddy of mine reps it and says it's horrible but HQ refuses to invest any more money in it to redo it. It's pretty sad that it's harmful to patients but yet HQ turns their head to it like they don't read all the failure reports turned in by reps. It's wonder how product mgr's keep their jobs at this company for these types of products still out on the market.

DOJ investigation?!?! Trust me, the DOJ has more important things to do than worry about what OsteoMed is doing. I can assure you, the DOJ is not wasting any time with OM other than doing an annual check-up. Complain all you want about Walt, one thing he does very well is run a clean operation.

Walt runs a tight ship all right. A tiny rowboat that never leaves the shore b/c he's too busy counting the number of planks on the boat.

Re: PhilexQC.

I'm so sad this once great company has fallen so far. When I started there in 2000 they, were family owned and were joy to work for. At the time the best I'v ever worked for.

So I heard that Walt's at ACFAS this week trying to sell the FPS to a bunch of dpm's that know better than jump on that grenade and get a lawsuit thrown at them the next week. The only guy that's still using it is that douche out in PHX that designed it for royalty payments(shady consultant agreement), his names like webber or someting.

Hey dirtbag, the main designing surgeon is dr. bruce werber from PHX and yes he's a close friend, so I don't appreciate you speaking about him in that tone. Keep blaming everyone else for your failures and enjoy unemployment. Realize too that OM is a great company to work for, you just don't have the skills to make it in the big time, so you have to come down to the minor leagues in which you get schooled their too. So overall you suck in the D league and would ride the pine in the majors. enjoy your loser genetics.

The FPS is giving the TFx a run for its money for the biggest waste of money and resources. Maybe Kobyguard and Envision should be up there too. I guess FPS wins since its the only one harming patients?

Its funny to see people get upset on here. Its a board for current and former Reps to voice the problems of Osteomed. To get upset for somone to call your surgeon a douche?? come on. Who cares? He maybe a good guy, but why would someone still use a product that has been having multiple problems? It comes down to money. Just like the other Doctor in Phx Zang. Then to say that somone couldnt hack it at OM...really? minor leagues. Crap I thought OM was the minor leagues. Look at what they pay and how they take care of the reps. It will be gone before you know. Relax.... Push it Up!!!

I am a former employee of OsteoMed who has the courage in my convictions to use my name. Some of the personal attacks I have read here are horrible and sophmoric in their transparency. Upper management and mid management alike are exceptional on both professional and personal levels. Their character, integrity and commitment to the organization, its employees and the community are beyond reproach. It takes sometimes years to cultivate and grow a territory; not the organization's fault, the onus of the relatioship between rep and surgeon lies with the rep. Surgeons and PM's buy from reps, although important, products can be incidental to the quality of the rep and the commitment to their customer. Painting the whole organization with a broad brush is naive. OsteoMed is a top notch firm with top notch players. The products are world class and extremely innovative. Try selling shit to a dung beetle if you can't sell quality products or yourself to a surgeon. And cut out the anonymous personal attacks. Have the courage to stand for what you are saying. This is an excellent firm.

I agree. Delton would never use words like "onus", "top notch players", or "Firm". He worked as an Engineer in the test lab and had no interaction with Marketing, RMs or TMs. Those are words that marketing or sales people use. The wording on this post sounds like it was written by the marketing/media consultants or someone at Corporate. Not even Jim could write something like that (snark). I really cannot decide if this is funny or pathetically sad. Delton had a HUGE problem with middle management which is unfortunately why he is no longer there. He is a great guy though. I can assure you that anything posted by Delton would include several 4 letter words.

Here is a thought, next time you post using a former employee's name, you might want to choose someone that actually knows about CF, owns a computer and has an internet connection.

Organizations whom retain social media consultants do not do so exclusively as a damage control measure, but primarily as a proactive operational strategy and as sound marketing practice. Your point is moot. I simply object to the personal and scathing attacks on individuals within OsteoMed. And I assure you that this is Delton. 3.86gpa double major smartest dude in the room at any given time Delton, bench press the back of your car Delton, nerdy enough to study botanical systematics (Arthur Cronquist Taxonomics) as an intellectual passion Delton. And I do agree with the last post, I usually drop at least 4 to 5 good f-bombs in any given diatribe, but in the interest of professionalism, the "onus" of appropriate communicae lies with me. In summary, be professionals and cut out the personal attacks on individuals. The OsteoMed home team has always had your back whether you see it or not.

"Organizations whom retain social media consultants do not do so exclusively as a damage control measure, but primarily as a proactive operational strategy and as sound marketing practice"

So you are proactively innoculating yourself from being hired as a Damage Control Specialist? LMFAO!!!!

Are you f'n kidding me? "Whom" Really? This is writtin by some douche with a Marketing degree with experience writing advertisement copy. Not Delton.

Delton was the most disgrunteled employee I have ever worked with, and for good reason.
His writing style and vocabulary would be more something like "That motherf%&*@$% SOB blah blah blah . . .Cock Su$%ing blah blah blah

There is no way in he11 he would ever write any thing positive about OM and for good reason givin the way management treated him.

It is really sad that OM would stoop to the level of unprofessionalism. This has the stench , or Santorum if you would, of Jim C

Again, if you are going to post under the name of a former employee, pick someone plausable. Everyone at Corporate knew the situation with Delton and will be laughing at the lame attempt at online PR.

Well Delton..by your response about OM shows how big of an idiot you are. Osteomed is not even in the top 50 medical device company's in the US. Their Ortho division is terrible. Tell me who they are better than or are above in sales and products. Osteomed wishes they were as good as Stryker, Synthes, Zimmer, Wright medical And DePuy. Hell even Accumed is better than Osteomed. It's a joke medical company with joke top managers. Most of the regnal mangers are from other company's that got fired or left because they couldn't last at the top medical company's.

Hey guys. I wish you all would grow up. I'm tired of getting on here and reading all these terrible post about Osteomed. It's a great company. I would rather be spending my time at Ryans buffet or China One buffet.

"So what were the circumstances behind your departure from OM?
Believe me, I know."

Still waiting for your response . . . . . . crickets chirping . . . . . . . . . . .

I guesss "Delton" will have to wait till tomorrow when Corporate is open in order to consult with them to formulate a proper response.

CHECKMATE!! You Loose Unethical Poser!!!

What's innovative about Osteomed's products? Take a look at CMF products and name 5 things that are innovative. Osteomed always copies the big 3 with tiny modifications and tries to say they have something new. Meanwhile all the surgeons are already happy with the big 3.

How about that resorb partnership with the Euro company that went bankrupt? Brilliant.

why are people still talking about the resorb product (inion i believe)? this is why jim is getting things done, his first priority was to pull the plug on that piece of crap. he knew it sucked. as discussed in previous threads, those idiots who were making the bad decisions are gone. now OM has to go backwards and correct all of their mistakes before they can go forward. it has to be done.

they are still talking about it b/c once again it's a drastic failure by this mom and pop Fortune 1000 medical device company.

Cafepharma losers, here is a little data for you....Stryker also had a distribution relationship with Inion. Some of you guys have been gone so long you're still talking about the SAM program. That's years ago, get over it. Those are the days of Harvey. It's a new era at OsteoMed. Both Business Units, SBO and CMF are doing very well, double digit growth. The past is the past. Go bash the current companies you work for.

I guess double digit growth isn't bad considering OsteoMed has had several years of major decline prior. But good luck with that buddy, you were and always will be the laughing stock of the implant world.
