"Double digit growth"? Whoopty-do given OM"s tiny yearly sales. There are medical companies with billions in sales that are growing double digits. You shrink 20% in 2009 and 2010 and you gotta basically double sales to get back to 2008 levels. Plus you jack prices up more than 6% every year so there's most of your growth, you greedy bastards. It's like the Rams saying they increased wins 100% by going 2-14 after 1-15.

I'll tell you the real reason this company achieved double digit growth....are you ready for this.....it's because we got rid of all you Cafepharma losers and hired some real talent! I agree with the above comment, btw stop bitching about working at osteomed be grateful you have one, and those that got fired there is a reason u got fired so stop bitching be a man and look in the mirror and change what u need to change probably your work ethic, your output on life and your attitude... change those 3 and ur success rate should go up and stop acting like teengers were grown adults there shouldnt be immature jokes about busting in each others wifes mouths completely unecessary !!

This company is great to work for, I've been working at HQ for over 8 years now and enjoy working here. Everyone from the CEO to the people in the warehouse get the overall focus and what the task at hand is for us all. Yes, we don't have many specialty products out anymore, look around no one else does too. One major problem is the high turnover in reps. Every time we get comfortable with a new young rep they quit, usually within the first 2 years. I don't follow the details and nor do I really care. Overall there's good and bad to every company, update your resume if you don't like it.

shut up fatty and go back for another serving of fried chicken at the buffet! When Obamacare hits, small companies will be done b/c you won't be able to compete with the price cuts! Say all you want on here about this and that, but we all know that the smaller companies are going to be eaten up when it hits in 2014. I don't care the regional mgr or corporate exec that starts trying to blast this and that on here, everything will become commoditized more than ever before. And with the limited bag, consider your paychecks limited b/c all the larger players will scoop up all your business. Get out while you still can afford to pay your mortgage or become a corporate person b/c they never get fired.
 






Gosh, I totally feel the love in the air with this company. A buddy of mine worked here for years and when he left they screwed him over. Zero loyalty and they don't put much into respecting their reps. If you're here leave, if you're looking to join don't.

Man that's a huge threat too bad it's not bid enough to matter, the term anonymous means something and unless you can find the trays before someone dumps them in a random dumpster in another city. Also, Avery left OM like almost a year ago so that tells me how in the loop you are as a regional. Suck it douche!

Well now doesn't this say it all? Admitting that rep turnover is a "major problem" but then admitting to not following the details and not caring? Only an idiot doesn't stay tuned into and care very seriously about "major problems" in their company.

If there is ongoing high rep turnover because the reps are inherently weak then you have a serious problem with management's ability to evaluate potential hires. If you keep hiring weak reps it's poor management plain and simple. Look in the mirror.
 


















Heard from reliable sources OM is laying off - at least in the machine shop. Anyone else hear this?

Sad but true. Machine shop, packaging, customer service - all are lowering headcount. Saleswise, 1 out of every 4 territories will be gone by end of the year. Poor performers are being advised to look for jobs now to get a head start. Walt killed the company.

oh yeah, what's your source? i do agree a little, walt and toby need to be replaced. they resist change and get in their own way of letting this company grow, or at least a chance to grow. i don't know how they can cut territories, reps are spread thin as it is already. maybe take on more distributors i guess.

Why would 'everyone be laughing so hard when the whole company just gets sold'? We all want to get bought! Regardless of who were to buy us, it couldn't get any worse. For the record, one of the biggest hand docs in my territory loves our HPS set. OM's products/sets may not be the best, but I know they aren't the worst. A good rep can make our sets work fine.
 






Just heard from a friend that there has been another round of lay-offs in Addison. Chopped a bunch of people in manufacturing, even the cleaning lady is gone. Maybe Walt & Scott Spooner are going to start mopping & running machines- they obviously can't run a company.
