Osteohealth

anyone familiar with the atmosphere for research with this company?

Most of the research on Bio-Oss and Bio-Gide was conducted (i.e paid for by Geistlich). Most of the research on GEM was done by BioMimetic. Now that GEM is owned for dental by Osteohell - they have done no further investment.

This ship has sunk.

this board cracks me up, yes, things arent the best right now, I agree that some changes need to be made in our comp plan and I agree that some poor decisions have been made especially with hiring former DM's from Pharma, I knew they were going to leave even before they knew... However, our products are good, the people in the home office arent evil people looking to go after us and destroy our lives, they are actually nice people who at the end of the day want whats best for the company and us, why would they want miserable sales people? It does nothing for them, it is a reflection on DG and everyone else in the home office when we have turnover like this, believe me they arent happy with the situation either. With that being siad, if you no longer work here, get a life and stop stalking Osteohealth, quite frankly its sad and wierd...and if you do stil work here and think our products, managers, comp plan and everthing else is so horrible, then LEAVE and dont let the door hit you in the ass on the way out! I just dont get it...

Rookies never get or understand how manipulative the home office and the new pharma sales managers are. This board is an outlet and avenue for would-be candidates to find out the reality of the atmosphere within a company. For those of us who have been involved and know the inner workings of Osteohealth from a historical and much more knowledgeable standpoint NEED to let candidates know what they are getting into. To paint a ROSIE picture and let people leave good careers to go to Osteohealth only to get be-littled, treated like a child, deal with unprofessionalism, and stabbed in the back at every turn is just not right. TELL IT LIKE IT IS.....DON'T LET ANY MORE PEOPLE'S CAREERS GET DAMAGED FROM THIS COMPANY !!! Good products...yes...but that is due to Geistlich and BioMimetics....Osteohealth has done NOTHING to further the futures of these products....NOW DO YOU GET IT ??....ROOKIE.....

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid....it is the blood of the reps. that actually built that division...

don't think so...can you say dictaphone???

yes!

Dictaphone was an American company, a producer of dictation machines—sound recording devices most commonly used to record speech for later playback or to be typed into print. The name "Dictaphone" is a trademark, but in some places it has also become a common way to refer to all such devices, and is used as a genericized trademark. At present, Dictaphone is a division of Boston-based Nuance Communications.

I am a senior manager from one of the many competitor companies to Osteohealth and I have been following this board on Osteohealth for quite some time. I finally have to speak up and give my 2 cents for those representatives who seem to be demotivated by what has taken place. This new management approach by Osteohealth clearly does not seem to be effective. In my many years of experience, the pharma. model just does not implement smoothly in a dental device sales market. There is a VERY clear delineation of success of a sales manager. And the question that Osteohealth NEEDS to ask is that following the hiring and adoption of this new managers approach have sales benefited and have the representatives developed and grown in their positions. If the answer is a clear and decisive NO, then this new manager has not done the job well and should be relieved quickly before more damage is done. On the other hand, if sales have taken on new life, the moral and development of the sales team is invigoured and the company retention rate and turnover has minimized, then the sales management is on the right track and should be rewarded. It is a very simple analysis that if not done timely and swiftly could and will produce detrimental longterm effects.

If you are a competitor then wtf do you care - why would you want Osteohell to do this "analysis"? It is quite clear that they are in downward spiral with rampant turnover and sales decreasing rapidly. You should be happy. Go sell something.

Unlike others, I hate to see good sales representatives and good products suffer due to poor management. Call me human but I guess the manager in me wants to see sales managers develop their people and progress sales. When there is sooo much animosity as there seems to be in Osteohealth then something is terribly wrong. In todays economy things are hard enough without having to look over your shoulder constantly for a self serving manager that is out on a power trip.
