Osteohealth

1) I am not new, just not one to complain about things I have no control over because it is a waste of time and energy
2) My friends who are out of work are so because the company laid off the least tenured reps, not based on sales performance
3) EVERYONE is making less money, ever heard of a little thing called the recession???
4) The MOST pathetic thing in the world is spending time on Cafe Pharma complaining about your job instead of just doing us all the favor of quitting and getting your negative energy the hell out of here
5) If you call understanding that the world is a place of change and understanding that the only way to survive in this world is to be able to adapt to those changes pathetic and kissing ass then I guess I will proudly take that title
6) Dennis is just doing his job the best way he knows how, so I advise you to do the same or you will be out of your job
7) if you ever find a company that does not have issues, or problems with management, or admin work, or ebs and flows of income, or competitors that come on the market and take market share, if you EVER find that magical place in fairy tale land, then you should probably check your pulse because you have died and went to heaven
8) When will you people realize that negativity is only making your job harder and making you more miserable, nothing is going to change, Dennis is not going anywhere, the economy is not going to get better overnight, our compeition is not going to up and disappear, so suck it up put on your big girl panties and do your job or bounce! Just leave, go find that better job and make lots of money...Im waiting....

Who's spending time on cafepharma ??? Oh, and Dennis will be gone within a year...just like the last five that have come and gone before him...and they were a lot better leaders. He is clueless on what this industry is all about and even more clueless on how to lead people....kind of ironic how sales started to steeply decline once he came onboard !!! And the recession...go tell our competition that...they are growing at double digits....so keep kissing ass...you will be the first to get the mouth full of shit !!!

Uhhh...totally false...
Straumann down 11%
Zimmer down 22%
Nobel -LAY OFFS ACROSS THE BOARD

Check your facts

What idiot wrote this !!....You are quoting implant numbers......jackass !!! You should check YOUR intelligence. It must be someone within Osteohealth marketing because they are always looking at the wrong data !!! Look at the bone grafting growth....Zimmer up, ACE up, Straumann organizing a regen division, Keystone up, Sunstar organizing regen. sales force.......why is there sooo many players jumping into regen? because it is very profitable and Osteohealth has dropped the ball...BIG TIME !!!
Oh, and those open positions.....$80-$90K....seen it myself on MedReps.....again...must be someone in Osteohealth Corp. refusing to see reality !!!
SOOOO TYPICAL of this disfunctional company.......

Checked Med reps myself. Jobs are posted at 110-130K not 80-90.

They just changed it two days ago...I have been watching it. It really was at $80-$90...now they switched it to $110-$130K.

Thanks to this board....they were forced to change it to what they say on job offers.

I would not trust a company that pulls this shit....NO WAY !!!!

What a HUGE mistake Osteohealth has made by bringing in pharma. managers. I have seen this in other dental organizations and it NEVER works out. The problem is that they are different animals and just aren't programmed for what the dental market is all about. This new National Sales Manager sounds like a Pfiser reject (probably from one of their many downsizings)...they always cut the dead weight and he was probably there much longer than he should have been. Now he has some responsibility and is acting out his wettest dream. My advice is to sit back, take your paycheck and wait for this guy to dig his own grave....sounds like he is already halfway there.....Unfortunately the competition is keen on the internal situation and is raping sales......what a misfortune for a once thriving company......

I have tracked and reported on dental for quite a while and dont recall any major dental companies bombing due to pharma management. What companies are you referring to? Pharma companies are usually well run and efficient, especially the bigger ones. Management from these sectors are usually quite sought after from non pharma brands looking to incorporate a streamline, effective model into place. As more and more publicly traded companies come under the scrunty of its shareholders they are looking to put the pieces in place to insure better returns. The Straumann Company is one company that recently has done so and the numbers reflect it. The same can be said of The Astra Company. In researching these companies it would be beneficial for Nobel to look in this direction as well. Luitpold as a company have hit there numbers for many years in a row. The Osteohealth division was slightly down for the first time but forward looking will prevent this from being a trend. It is a strong product and one that will not go away overnight. It is what we have reported to our investors in this sector. Having a plan in place will be beneficial in the long run. We stake millions on it daily!

Here is a reccomendation to those of you who feel like they know how to run and manage a company--Invest some money-gather up all the disgruntled non working sales reps-start your OWN company and run it the way YOU like. Hard working, intellegent people who can make a positive contribution are ALWAYS valued. Those who leave the house at 11am (if that) and complain about everything will always be angry because no one EVER values them no matter where they work! Oh and Pfiser is spelled pfiZer

Pharma. companies are run well by pharma. guidelines and stringent management practices.....newsflash, buddy...this isn't pharma. As soon as a company starts worrying about keeping their shareholders happy and NOT their customer base...they are DONE !!! This is now soo obvious in Osteohealth. You said it right there in black and white. Oh, and by the way...Straumann and Astra are both reporting losses.....so much for that pharma. management "streamlining", hahaha !! Forward looking at Osteohealth??.....you obviously are new and have no idea what you have gotten yourself into.....good luck with that !!!! Meanwhile I'll keep taking your business of your so called "products that won't go away overnight"......sleep tight sugar because tomorrow more will be GONE !!!!

Decrease in profit does not mean losses (but certainly not good).

All I have to say is these rewards dollars are KILLING me...thousands of dollars off the table this month alone for me because these rewards dollars are being cashed in, how the hell are we supposed to grow business in a shrinking economy with a shrinking market space while we are giving our highest using customers free goods that we dont get paid out on, dont mean to sound bitter but this is upsetting, the company should have just given a discount that way it would just be small decreases every order not thousands of dollars at once...or perhaps they could at least let it count towards our goal, fine, dont pay me commission on it but at least let the dollars count towards my goal so I have chance of making this stupid bonus, which KNOWONE is going to make this year end pie in the sky 10grand, give me a break...sorry, done venting now.

Can anyone give me any insight as to the culture of this company. I have an opportunity. What's a realistic year income? Is it a good company to work for? There have been some changes which always stirs things up but would like some honest feedback.

Um, did you read this thread? All the answers are in it. If you are coming from pharma making $80k you will love it. If you want to be a real salesperson, run away and hide.

It was a good job....now a complete CRAP job. The CEO brought in some Pharma. power-hungry dinks to run it and they have destroyed the division. All the previous good reps. and managers are now with the competition and scalping all the good accounts. Funny to watch...devistating for reps. at Osteohealth.

Wow this company has a horrible "culture" to work under. It's more micromanaging than a pharma job. My suggestion would be to not take a position at Osteohealth you will regret your decision unless you are desperate for a job.
