The ambiguosly GSK duo in Michigan take the cake. Absolutely clueless. You could pick any of the Michigan managers.
Is Vince still handing out pills at meetings? He can't manage people but if you need an ambien or antivan.... He's your guy.
Word in Philly is he used to have pool parties with his female reps during business hours... how true is that?? He still a manager? I have a nice rack, is that how they hire over at Novartis?
Sadly this true. The company and leaders earned this by letting incompetent abls make competent reps lives miserable. The old adage, one leaves a manager not a company is happening. Counting down the days
Stop this nonsense. Nobody's leaving because of abls.
Are you kidding me.MS lost almost their entire original salesforce because of management. Some teams lost all their reps because of the ABL.It is still happening today
True. The problem is hiring managers from other companies, then nepotism comes into play bringing in their "pets" creating a unfair system of low moral due to preferential treatment.ABL, take the position for what it is...entry level basic management. Most, 90% of these guys will never make a career out of it or get promoted they will get laid off first. Problem is, they think they smarter than what they are or the position is..entry level. If anyone of them were actually worth their weight the would support and inspire their team instead of creating chaos for themselves creating bad images and attention to their respective teams.

Hiring within would take care of most of these issues.
Since the early 2000's any job within the pharma sales organization is a joke. Reps do customer service and catering and managers are babysitters.
When I was in my early 30's as a rep making 6 figures I thought I had the best job since my friends were making $60,000. When I hit my mid to late 30's my friends caught up with me from an income standpoint and I realized I was wasting my life being a customer service rep.
When I hit 40 I knew anything to do with pharma was a waste of time and effort. I only stayed because of a side gig and the limited amount of time working for pharma.
Looking back if I needed a pharma job until 65 years old I would have regretted ever starting in pharma. Fortunately pharma income is no longer needed and I can look back at the freedom this part time job gave me. The free time is by far the best part of the job. Answering to the poor managers, who for once in their life have some authority, is by far the worst part. Not caring anymore what anybody thinks about me ... priceless
I would rather work at Home Depot or Lowe’s vs Pharma. Even Starbucks is better. Going to make less money for sure but at least you are working w/ adults w/ past adult experiences.
You don't thing you work with idiots at Home Depot and Lowes? There are idiots everywhere.
