New Openings

How does one know if a background check has been done on you? Is the company that does the check required to notify you? If so, then they did not do a check, yet I received the offer letter.

Did anyone in their late 50's early 60's get hired? I think they ran away from me when they saw my age and probably did not even do a background check. I was a premier Rx rep in the area, highly awarded with unsurpassed relationships. I would have loved to do this.

I am in my 50's & I was hired several months ago. The manager's on the contract I work are in there 50's & 60's I was told. Why don't you send an email to see where u r in the process. Good luck and I hope it goes your way!

I am late 50s, and got an offer letter, although I haven't heard anything since then. I was actually really disappointed that I had to provide my birth date for the background check, and figured that would be the end of the road for me.

I have been on tens of interviews in the last year since being laid off from my major pharma stint of over 20 years. It seems they are interested until I actually go to the interview, at which they are nice and say positive things, but then I never hear anything further.

So, this OnCall process offers about the best chances I know of for older reps.

I have not received any notice of a background check and no offer for a job. I had sent back the letter approval for the check. I emailed Vince last week for status and he told me they were still working on it ..which tells me nothing..Would you email him again or give it another week ??..Thanks

I would suggest you wait till at least the end of the week. The holidays probably put them behind a little, so I would be a little patient.

I also received an offer letter but never got a request for background check. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Wouldn't they do a background check on everyone they are planning on hiring. And they can't do one without disclosing it to you.

My offer letter states 2,000 a month, bonus of 500, car allowance 500, cell phone 60. Doing Chantix

I think it has to do with the number of assigned calls for each territory. For me, the original contact from the recruiter talked about 3 days/week, but then the offer letter said 2.5 days per week, which would mean less assigned calls per month. I think Pfizer has changed up the assigned calls and assigned products for some of the territories.

The same thing happened to me. I had the background done and emailed. He said he was working on it. Is the hiring process over. Very fustrating.

Please hang in there. They did all this recruiting right around the holidays and there is a lot for them to coordinate. Followup with them at the end of the week or beginning of next week. I know it is easier said then done, but try and be patient. I am sure with the holidays & volume of hirees that the hiring process is not over. Good luck to you & I hope it goes your way!

Thanks so much for the reply....I hope so. I don't want to push my luck and keep emailing but I will touch base with him again soon. I appreciate your help.
