Nevro

This thread is hilarious!

But, in all seriousness - I'd appreciate some honest feedback.
I was contacted by a recruiter for a DSM job at Nevro. I have zero SCS experience, but have been a high achiever and President's Club winner at two other med device companies.
What is the comp like?
Is the ramp up as brutal as you all make it sound?
Any insight/advice (honest & not sarcastic) would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Unless you're used to lots of patient interaction, steer clear of any neuromod company. You'll find it less an issue with Nevro but still. the bridge from simply supporting a surgical procedure with minimal to no patient contact to performing miracles for the doc and patient, is a deal breaker for many.

Tough transition if you have no SCS experience or existing relationships in pain management. The quota ramp is brutal and the time required to set up accounts, negotiate pricing and get quality patients in the pipeline is substantial.

The product is great and the work is rewarding when your helping patients. That said, it's extremely stressful. There are no days off, including weekends. Nevro is for grinders who love pressure and will do whatever it takes to succeed.

You will negotiate comp as part of the hiring process. Don't expect to make a lot on overage as every quarter will be a stretch to hit quota.

Find out why the territory is vacant. Turnover is high at Nevro and you could be the second or third rep customers have seen.

Good luck!

I don't think there is any way to know for sure. It's definitely not 75% but it a lot of people have quit or been fired over the last year. It's a challenging job and the the quota ramp is steep and rapid. The level of micromanagement from Redwood City is frustrating and causes things to move slowly at times. That said, it's also very rewarding and an exciting place to work.

Definitely ask around and do your due diligence. Make sure the pieces are in place to get off to a fast start. Good luck!

so Nevro sales were up substantially, 35% 3rd qtr vs last year. So who took the big hit, stj, mdt. bsx or "all the above"? Which other company reported a bump of 35% + growth? Turnover, who gives a crap! Open VP position, who gives a crap.

Wall Street gives a crap and the only thing keeping your stock up is President Trump.

Nevro is run by pretenders and everyone knows it.

Rami is a really pretender isn’t he LOL. Go back to your miserable life trying to be what he’s already become and convince yourself you still will be able to achieve his accomplishments. Loser :)

Hey loser, did your company have a 35% increase in sales 3rd quarter? You must cringe every time one of your "loyal" docs agrees to trial HF10 and eventually loses them. Better start calling on Med Students. They'll listen to your high squeal pitch.

The reason the stock was down is the expectations for revenue growth going forward are decelerating. Also, the sales turnover left them with less net reps at qtrs. end. than Wall Street expected. On the VP sales role, the fact that its been 4 months might spook some people.

How long does it typically take to penetrate an account and go from a few trial to steady high ranking account??
