Nevro

I was recently contacted by a recruiter about a DSM role. Any insight on realistic expectations for comp and if there is a 1st year guarantee?

Nevro will be the market leader in 12-18 mos. when the FDA says YOUR product is superior when compared to traditional therapy, the only thing stopping your success will be you. Jump on it! STJ has DRG, Burst is a bust. MDT finally gets a boast with new generator and software but hardware is dated. That leaves BSX selling voodoo/magic.

The guarantee is for 6 months after completion of training. Hard to say what to expect comp wise because different DSMs have different deals in place. Quota ramp is steep and steady. If you get off to a slow start, you will be fired, so make sure that you know exactly where your business is going to come from.

Nevro is not the long term solution to a career. Ask all the people that have been fired and ones trying to keep up with the growing quota to keep up with the stock price and soon to be fired. Trust me, you will be fucked quick fast and in a hurry. Nearly impossible for even tenured scs reps with relationships to keep up the growth demand. If you get enticed with a nice guarantee and can engineer your next move b4 it ends, its a good move. You better have that next moved pretty solid and certain it will pan. I know a few people all fired within 7 months!

Stay away from here unless you are a muslim, bitch or coward.

stay away from Nevro if your expectation is a 4 hour work day. Stay away from Nevro if you enjoy your secondary income source. Stay away from Nevro if you expect your CS to do it all. Stay away from Nevro if you feel you shouldn't be accountable for your sales number. Other than that.... play it safe and join up with STJ.

Forget about the DSM gig, go for the VP slot! At this point, all legitimate candidates have said "no thanks", so your chances are pretty good. All you have to do is agree with everything Rami says, loose your shit on a conference call every now and then, and fire a few reps every quarter.

I was in neuromodulation 3 years ago and left it after 6 years. Coming back in because ortho is a whores market. Not that stim isn’t, but it pays more on average. Sounds like Nevro is having its issue and Jude or Boston is at the top, big surprise. Is Stimware wireless the next big thing or the closed loop Saluda? Nuvectra I hear is very vanilla. Comments please without the sarcasm would be appreciated people :)

Beg to differ. I wouldn’t call KB a legitimate candidate. And btw, he was rejected.

Everyone is working on closed loop, saluda will be unique for 10 min. StJ has DRG stim but it’s a niche product indication. FDA declares HF10 superior to all but you’ll be pressed to perform. If you’re looking to get back in and coast, Nevro should not be on your short list. Boston and mdt sells nothing new in terms of hardware, only software sizzle. Best to study the territory you plan to work and learn who owns market share and the character of the assorted managers. Personally, I’ve had it when it comes to being asked to perform stim miracles on chronic pain pts and doing the song and dance w Corp. I’m looking for a small start-up device company, any specialty. Good luck, friend!

would add, stj mgmt. makes for a complete cluster. Its CYA, all the way!
