I just got a call from the recruiter stating that the territory I was going to interview for is now one of 20 that he was told to put a hold on. He isn’t sure why. Anyone have any insights? I’m thinking there’s probably an internal candidate or geographies will be combined. So disappointed!

What area are you in?

Internal candidates moved into open spots since it made more sense geographically. There are no holds because of realignments.

For the plane ticket my recruiter told me it was on the company. My email says to use lilly travel services.

Do we have to use our own personal credit cards and wait to get reimbursed or not? Also, the recruiter said I would need to stay at a hotel the night before. Is this also on my own dime to wait for reimbursement from Eli? I don’t mind waiting for reimbursement for food, etc on my own credit card but I wasn’t expecting to front own money for hotel and/or flight.

Usually when you book through a company’s travel services, they book everything for you and you don’t need to front the money

Has anyone interviewed today or are all interviews tomorrow? How is it? Is their a Regional Manager round?

Just interviewed today. Dallas location. No more rounds. Interview is with hiring manager plus another manager. Said all will find out no later than oct 17 but likely sooner. Standard interview stuff, no curveballs.

Run, if you want a pharma job...Lilly is the worst. Pay is lower than other pharma, bonuses lower, great products but huge goals, total big brother culture, cell phone block, ipad block, gps tracker in car and reports are ran on everything to monitor and track you...all new in last year thanks to only hiring young, diverse, college grads...

if you are black, gay or transgender than you may love lilly despite the above...you are who they want and cater to even though most of the doctors are older, conservative people. go figure.

morale is low, turn over is high and lilly has killed the best parts of a pharma job.

Please elaborate on big brother culture. Also, is a company cell phone provided? How are they able to do a cell phone block? What do you even mean by “block”

I work in small pharma and heard my ipad go “tap tap tap” while I was pre calling in my car *insert eye roll*. All pharma companies want to micromanage because they don’t trust us. Sometimes it doesn’t take 40 hrs in the field to drop off samples.

I'm not the poster of the original comment, but the company provided iPad and iPhone have to have an app called TRUCE installed. The app tracks when you've left in the morning, where you drove to, when you stopped, etc. Also, the app blocks use of your Lilly-provided electronics when you are driving.
