Wednesday at 11:08 pm and I gave yet to hear anything. I interviewed in Baltimore last Tuesday morning.

yes, but its been over 2 weeks since the first interview started. Even if #1 accepted 10 days ago, background checks take only a few days. So many 2nd choices should've heard by now..

Didn't get job. Went with someone with zero experience. Good luck to Lily. Will be very difficult to sell a cgrp to primary care. I have years of experience! One year, Lily will be kicking themselves and someone will be fired in upper management.

Training HAS NOT started, and won’t until Sept 17th. FACT! Also to answer the question about what type of background they were looking for, my friend told me that of a new PC team with about 7-8 new hires that it was pretty much 50/50. Meaning half of the team had multiple years of experience while the other half were new to pharma or had little experience. Of course this probably isn’t the case for every team, but this was the make up in the northwest.

To properly give our current employers a two week notice we have to know something by today, especially being that most employers are closed on Monday for the holiday.

Three years Big Pharma Experience here. Interviewed in Dallas for California and got a call they chose someone else.. my complaint is the recruiter really was shady. she did not give me basic info such as this was NON POD! I found out at the end of the interview. I kept emphasizing how I work in a pod when all i needed to say was I am looking for non pod opportunities.

You may be frustrated now if you have not been selected for this position.

Please keep this in perspective:

To the best of my knowledge local managers may have not interviewed or selected members of their own team. (Crazy!)
Lilly is following a protocol of hiring reps into Lilly with the following criteria
Under three years- if any past sales experience (lawyers may be missing an opportunity with an age discrimination case with a big cap pharma company)

It will be difficult for the new sales team to have a successful launch for the following reasons:
Basic training - learning life up to the product label...
Credentialing - paperwork and medical work needed 3 to 6 months for big clinics...
Access/lunches, Good luck...
Do not forget about concour and expense reports and Veeva/call systems...

Reps will take 6 months to a year to learn which way is up besides launching a new product. While management will expect a best case scenario. Finger pointing and the blame games will be the best skills to survive at Lilly in Neuro...
