New poster here. Haven't been on this site in years but was a regular in its really early days. Seems nothing has changed on the Merck board. 15 guy has it all figured out...but it's nothing new. When I came on board in the 80s, the guys from the 60s trained us how to be 15ers once we got into the field. And it was much easier then...no computers with time stamps, all cash expenses, everything on paper. Hope it continues to work for you. I'm out of the industry now but thought I'd stop by to see what's new. Merck was once a great company but reps have always been reps. Go along...get along...don't make waves...give them their numbers...cash your check. Good luck!
 






You make no choices, we in the home office make all the choices.The main choice now is how close do we hit our downsizing numbers - 50, 55, 60 or the full 65%. A very fun exercise getting the deadwood out of the company.

Haven't heard from these 15 genetic misfits. They are still polluting the work force and threatening your job. If you so much as suspect someone with this felonious attitude turn them in / now!

Doesn't that tell you that maybe I should be running this company? If I can do this behind the scenes with no official management responsibilities, just think what I could do if I were CEO! I have fundamentally transformed the culture of our workforce just by posting my insight and philosophies here on CafePharma and living my plan and making it a lifestyle. Many of you have adopted this lifestyle and philosophy as well and I'm proud to call you my brothers and sisters and lead the way. We couldn't have done it without you! The only thing you are fit for is heavy chains and a 6x6 cell,crook and devious lowlife.
The stock will continue to increase very nicely after all the terminations are completed and you asses are in the soup lines.

Let's say you're around 40. 10 years in. House, couple of kids....

25 more years of schlepping lunches, getting signatures, traveling, meetings, dodging management and layoffs. Almost three decades....before you can get out, if you ever do...if the job ( such as it is) is even still here. Yippie!

Yeah, you 15's are some forward thinking, goal oriented, career minded....suckers.
And if you think you are " draining Merck" it'd take a lot longer than 20 years on your pathetic salary. But for some...that's as far as ambition will actually carry ' em. One paycheck away from insolvency. Let's see who lasts longer. You or Merck.

The only thing your are capable of running is your own life. No skills, vision or leadership qualities. Simply because a handful of miscreants have joined your cult is not validation of you or your ideas. You keep popping up on your board and always sound like some stereotypical welfare recipient that blames everybody else for their predicament. Go ahead and continue with your grand plan, play golf and pretend that you matter to anybody beyond your family. I'm sure you feel life is great. Good for you, enjoy. While you work hard I raise my kids and have a great relationship with my wife. I am fine with that. You don't hear me complaining. Do you think if you work hard you will not get released? It does not work that way. I have seen many people who go above and beyond only to see the door.

I don't think I'm a cog. Just collecting a fat check and making a better life for MY family.

The difference is when I am shown the door my family will be happy to see me. The kids we're raised right because I spent time with them. You will have nothing because you picked a company over family. I think they will be happy for you to get another job so they don't have to see or hear you.
