MS Panel Offers

Wrong. Many have already received verbal offers from the hiring manager. WRITTEN offers go out on Monday.
I know someone who received verbal confirmation on Friday from the hiring DM that she would be receiving her offer on Monday. Unfortunately, I have not received a call like that so I'm assuming I am not first choice.

Sorry, but you never know, especially if it is a different DM. Everybody operates differently. I also received a call from the hiring DM later in the week, but it was a check in and they said they would be talking to me again very soon.

How many people on this thread, external already recieve an offer???

External here who got a verbal Friday from hiring manager. Make 130k and asked for 145k from the day I applied. No issue throughout the process about my salary expectation and Gene offered me 136k. I am not bitter but declined, I am out, not leaving for 6k. Best of luck to all and 2nd and 3rd line candidates hold tight. I would guess first picks such as myself MAY decline. I am not changing jobs for $500 per month, less vacation, etc. And to p1 and HR, if my salary was too high, why didn't you cut bait months ago? Could have saved both parties time and money.

4.6% increase? That's it? I can get that in an annual merit raise. I am not surprised by any HR trying to low ball, but I expect a minimum of 10% if I am going to jump for an unapproved product. They wouldn't even negotiate?

external here. Genentech offered me a 1% increase in base! That's actually insulting! Looks like they're going to get their second line candidates and only folks desperate to make a move. Shame. Could have been good. How can one work for a company that starts off by insulting them with low ball offers?

I know many Novartis reps who would accept the position for a 10% decrease in salary. It depends on how you like your current position and desperation.

GNE isn't going to offer 10% ...too many people applying and good candidates at that.

I would not believe the majority of these posts. I am guessing some 2nd/3rd choice candidates are posting in hopes of getting an offer due to decline. I can understand people from Biogen turning down offers, but maybe their manager is a nightmare, etc. Otherwise, I don't see too many people declining. I was hoping for a 10% bump, but I am looking at the big picture.

any luck trying to negotiate? Although I expect very limited because of mass hiring.

You can always try but be prepared to walk away if you do. You had better be the #1 choice and have a lot to bring to the territory if you want to negotiate. It is a great company with great benefits and that is why everyone is trying to get in. If salary is the only thing that matters, you might not be happy here.
