MS Panel Offers

A few reps in my franchise do have confirmed offers so maybe the 23rd is the date for the candidates that are the 2nd choice. They are extending offers to the reps they are 100% on and then seeing who declines offers before moving down the list.
I work here and have friends that didn't get the job and people still waiting to see. The interviewing is still going on this week so I don't think your comments are correct

Best post on this thread, hands down.

:);):)

For real. I agree on the small territories. Community neuros won't be prescribing this drug. As per the RRMS indication I can see it being a third line with all those malignancies and opportunistic infections. Many people are believing the story of efficacy and safety because Genentech is hyping it up. I don't think the FDA will agree. This drug has more malignancies than Cladribine. As per the primary indication FDA can't give such a free label when patients on trial were younger and had inflammation. This drug won't do anything for real PPMS.

So, that means you are internal. That could be the case, but I do think many others will hear on the 23rd. I am external and completed the background check and references request.

On July 9, 2012 the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act (FDASIA) was signed. FDASIA Section 902 provides for a new designation - Breakthrough Therapy Designation. A breakthrough therapy is a drug:

  • intended alone or in combination with one or more other drugs to treat a serious or life threatening disease or condition and
  • preliminary clinical evidence indicates that the drug may demonstrate substantial improvement over existing therapies on one or more clinically significant endpoints, such as substantial treatment effects observed early in clinical development.
If a drug is designated as breakthrough therapy, FDA will expedite the development and review of such drug. All requests for breakthrough therapy designation will be reviewed within 60 days of receipt, and FDA will either grant or deny the request.

Yeah, you work here Melvin, sure.... Offers started going out last Thursday and Friday to several internals whom I know or know of and yes, another one is interviewing this week.

I don't think offers have been extended and truly in the end, the date will be May 23

Don't believe, it isn't my job to convince you. If you get an offer within the next week and come on board, you'll learn that at least 5 internals received offers last week. The problem with putting anything truthful on here is that there can be so much bull shit put on by disgruntled ex- candidates, you don't know what to believe.

I am also an internal that was cut from the process and know for a fact that offers have been extended to some internal candidates as a counterpart of mine received one. We both went to panel interviews, one of us got an offer and one of us didn't. I am not disgruntled as I have been with GNE for many years and am thankful to have a job with such a great company. I have not heard of any external candidates receiving offers but that is probably because background checks and other pre-employment verifications need to be done.

So for all you "experts" saying no offers have or will be made until the 23rd, that is not the case. It is silly to keep going back and forth as there is really no way to confirm this except when training starts and the internal, early hires confirm they were extended offers starting May 12th.

60 days have passed and no approval. It will get approved. Roche and FDA discussing malignancies

So how many EXTERNAL candidates have received a request to complete background check and submit references? What week did you interview? Thank you.

I have only received a call from P1 saying I was still in running and they may be making follow up calls requesting additional info like non compete etc. Have external candidates already been asked to give that? Any help would be appreciated.

I have launched a breakthrough therapy. It took all 6 months to get official FDA approval even though the drug was incredibly efficacious and had a clean safety profile. FDA is in charge here. Discussions between Medical Affairs and the FDA are always ongoing in this process. Field sales just doesn't get the updates usually. I too think approval will come, but in August.

How long after your interview did they contact you wanting that additional information?

1 business day, but I interviewed much later in the process, so that's why mine was so quick. I think offers may come Friday or early next week. 1st choices may not accept offers too depending on what HR comes in at, so you could always be contacted after that. Good luck.

That non-compete is requested along with references and background check. FYI.

Yes, but I only received a call from P1 saying I was still in the running about 2 days after my panel interview and they would be contacting later for non-compete and references etc. I have not received a call saying that I was out of the running. Did everyone else get requested that info right away from PrincetonOne or is that something they will ask for if you are offered the job? I'm trying to determine if If my call from PrincetonOne is still promising since it didn't immediately ask me for those documents yet. Thanks in advance for your help.

I am external that interviewed the week of May 9th. Got the call from P1 that I was still in the running the follow day. No more information has been requested. I had a dream last night that Genentech required a gymnastics vault routine as part of my interview, and If I didn't stick a perfect landing, I was out. Speaks volumes about this process.

Yes. Thanks for sharing. May I ask during your panel interview week when they said they would get back to you by? Also do you think your hiring manager was finished interviewing that week it was doing more interviews for your desired territory in later weeks as well?
