So is the hiring manager going to bat for you and presenting it to HR? I'm in a very similar situation. I have countered. So now I'm waiting again...... I too am leaving some RSGs on the table.

No mention of other $s but I am curious. Someone on these posts mentioned a training bonus. This was not mentioned to me and makes no sense. Could be bs or I missed something.

For every month of "training", it is approximately 3k that will automatically be given. 35k prorated. I'm definitely not bullshitting.
 












I'm just surprised that I was called yesterday (23rd ) and told to sit tight that I'm still under active consideration. I recievedon't that same call a few days after my panel interview. Why would the call me to say that I'm still being considered if offers went out? Kinda crazy.

Honestly you are probably still on the running. If there is any truth to any of these other postage where people are trying to counter, you could take their spot. Genentech always tries to do the right thing and that includes slightly bumping the salary. People focus too much on the base as opposed to the entire package and most of all the great culture here at Genentech. I think people that counter when they have already been giving a bump even if it is a slight bump, is a mistake and they probably won't get the job. You can take advantage of that situation. Don't give up hope. If they say you're still in the running, then you are.

I would be surprised if they gave you a $10K raise....it is usually around 5% and a sign-on that they only have to pay once.

Thanks. So lets say our drug gets approved Jan 1, are you saying this is our interim bonus as we will not have sales metrics? Or do we get both? Given my scenario above, after training and before the drug gets approved, we get around 3k per month? So long as you do not screw up. Makes sense.

3k a month during training and prep for market approval. Once approved, I assume normal bonus structure is in place with performance based earnings. There is potential to make a lot in bonus if you are even slightly above plan.

Yes, 1st choice offers have been going on since May 12th and are still be extended. Once all of these offers have been either confirmed or declined, offers to the 2nd choice candidate will start. Should be done by done by June 4th which allows for 2 week notice and training starting on June 13th.

if you extend an offer on June 3rd you are giving one week notice if your going to start on 6/13. If you don't get cleared background and offer by Friday, no way you can give full two weeks

Most all offers should be extended and wrapped up by the end of this week. Maybe some loose ends to tie up next week.

For the most part, everyone should be able to give two weeks or close to it.

Starting date for most reps. will be the 13th.
