MS Panel Offers

External here. Just heard no from P1
I haven't heard anything today ~ yes/no/maybe/kiss my a#! ~ not sure if that means they are keeping me as a back up until they hear if first choice accepts their offer?? I looked back at my original email reply from GNE and see that I applied in the beginning of March! Two and a half months and i still don't have a yes or no. This is beyond frustrating.

Me either. It's crickets. If I'm second choice then just tell me.

external here. Nothing for 3 weeks. Just cut me loose...I have a good job and need to concentrate on it. How hard is it to shoot me an email, a phone call....anything. Have the courtesy to follow up as promised.

I feel your pain! It has been very difficult to focus on my current job while wondering what is going on. I would almost rather have heard a "no" today than continue wondering. Expecting ppl to go thru what has turned out to be a 2 1/2 month process is just too much. I'm happy for the ppl who got offers today so they finally got an answer! Lots of ppl celebrating around the country tonight.

You're right. That shouldn't happen to anyone at any company. Unfortunately, people forget what its like to be on the other side of the fence. I had a friend that was an HR manager for a large food company who lost her job and then found herself on the other side and experienced first-hand the long arduous process with no communication. It literally transformed her and from then on she swore she would treat candidates so much better and communicate more. My referral went through the whole process and received the call from P1 they were still in the running only to receive a second call from them a week later saying they went with another candidate. After all the energy and time, I feel the hiring manager at any company should always personally reach out to a candidate who made it to the final round and tell them versus just having a recruiter do it. Unfortunately, this happens all too often these days.
Just try to remember one thing. Things happen for a reason. I am certain that there will be an opportunity down the road that you will be a part of and thankful things happened the way they did. You have to really believe that. People may trash my message etc., but at the end of the day, all this means is something is better out there for you personally.

This is a lie.

Unfortunately, this is not a lie! I'm not the original poster. If you need a job, the offer is probably one you would take. I am being completely honest when I say I have top results over a long period time. I was actually recruited for this job because they struggled to find a good candidate. The hiring manager did a great job of keeping me informed during the process and I really like him and the company. Unfortunately I can't leave my current position for a 5% increase. Especially given the drug hasn't been approved. I really am disappointed because from the beginning I told the hiring manager and P1 what I would require in salary. Neither said that is not going to happen. I believe it's is so important to manage expectations, so I was sorely disappointed with the offer I received! I did counter, so we will see what happens! Good luck everyone!!

I accepted, but I agree in your situation. They should have definitely told you that from the beginning. I hope you are successful in your negotiations. Good luck to you.

For those saying they were given low offers, what is your current base you shared and what was the sign-on offered?

Current = 134
Offered = 140
I Countered at 144
Manager to call back manana with a Y or N

So, all those still waiting in the cue, you may have a chance. Many in my situation are ready to walk as the nominal increase is not worth the leap. Best O luck!

Almost forgot about your sign on ?

17 k for bonus I will surrender
15 k in RSU grants I will lose

No mention of other $s but I am curious. Someone on these posts mentioned a training bonus. This was not mentioned to me and makes no sense. Could be bs or I missed something.
