Monday's Sales Opportunity Call

This proves to me that home office is in freak out mode and it's only been 6 months. This is going to backfire spectacularly...did you all ask any of your good eye care professionals how they feel about this? Because I'm sure they are going to LOVE having two reps calling on them, one with no eye care experience at all asking them the same shit we did months ago. Screwing up access, call continum, and relationships. Way to go Shire turning eye-care into primary care.

Eye Drs are used to pod selling from eye care reps. Allergen, Alcon, and B&L have all had some form of overlap. Please lstop kidding yourself about what you do.

Just do better because if they are calling on the NBU to save you when they are prepping to launch (no vacations this summer!) then you are in the craphole.

Ok I can agree. However it isn't an end of the world scenario. It won't last long either.

They will downsize the OBU big time and then split you between MD and OD teams (they shouldn't have hired so many of you anyway and this type of splitting makes sense).

They won't have us NBU shmucks working with you too long. Once they notice we can't make all the calls when launching a "new" product (haha) they will make us focus on what actually generates money for Shire.

So, if your in the OBU and your manager doesn't like you or your not making those numbers you better see this for what it is. A huge warning sign that you are about to get your walking papers.
 






So KC is going to mandate xiidra training during personal time during the month of spring break, than forbid vacation in the summer.

From NBU here. Can someone tell me what DED or ECP means? Sorry, I haven't had any training. Also, what's the difference between an ophthalmologist and an optometrist?
Have no idea what those mean but this plan is DOA... look that one up... our leaders are fools... great script they read though... leadership needs to get in the field and learn how to sell without sounding like a robot... can't believe some of these people have jobs and yet they are running this company.
 






U r trying to get xiidra to $1 billion... Vyvanse just did $2 billion with less than 600 reps... what did we get for it Perry and Kevin? How much did you make? You don't know how to run a sales force... what a bunch of nimble losers

Agreed, we all knew the territories overall were too small when we came in. This will be an easier way to downsize, question is how soon? They do seem to be a little overly concerned with the slow start, so it might be awhile.....?
 






They aren't crazy and or dumb enough to work xiidra sales into our $8400 expected payout are they? They said they are working out a comp plan? What is there to work out? Pay me exactly like you paid the xiidra rep per script or I'm suing everyone

Hey, here's a novel idea: STOP posting company strategies on a PUBLIC site.

It's laughable to consider that a strategy. Typical playbook from the rejects of Pharma. We have Elmer Fudd as our President of Sales to go along with a dryed up Heffer as VP. Clueless when it comes to customers, clueless when it comes to strategy, clueless when it comes to creating comp plans, hence the giveaway in Q4. We are not hitting our 1.5 target and Tongue Twister and his in Inbred Mistress are in full hysteria mode. BTW, how many time does Speech impediment Perry remind us that he carried a bag. Does anyone believe this guy was successful carrying a bag or beloved by customers and staff. I feel like I'm in a bad movie, a combination of Revenge of the Nerds, Heathers, and a Nightmare on Elm Street. Godspeed my fellow Shire employees, this company was once great but now it's a shell of itself thanks to the Three Fuckateers.

You are spot on! That's exactly how I am reading this new strategy. My territory is already alarmingly small. They have WAY over hired in the OBU and this is a warning sign that my hunch was right. It won't surprise me at all if the don't downsize the OBU soon.
