Medical Sales College. Is it for Real?

I find your posting interesting. I am in no way promoting the school. As a matter of fact I think it's a scam too.
As far as device companies hiring people over 40.......it happens more often than you think. It's not like the Ken and Barbie 20 something Pharma people. I was hired by a device company at 46 years old and coming from pharma. Go Figure! I'm not a model by any means....but certainly not a troll or hard on the eye. I DEFINITELY do not look my age..but when you look at my resume and it shows that I graduated in 1989 you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that I'm over 40. I did get advanced degrees in 1999 and 2002. If I were really worried about the age thing.....I would have left out the education from 1989.
However, I know what I'm worth and what I could do. I've been in the device job for 2 years now and doing well. DOn't let people tell you that you can't get a device job over 40. If you're smart, energetic and keep yourself in half way decent shape you can get any job you want. It's all about what you want, how you present yourself and how determined you are to get it.

I agree there are people in their 40's and 50's in medical sales, but it's not the norm. Also, you're right about average looking people in it as well. In Stryker, however, people tend to fit the mold I talk about.

And don't forget how much butt you are willing to kiss.

Some of us have higher standards than medical device rep. Almost all high end medical sales jobs are butt kissing.

Real sales people that don't have to kiss butt, sell food and elevator services, things like that. And they make just as much money on the high end.

Sorry, but all sales jobs need a high level of obsequiousness. One is better off getting a Ph.D in Ass Kissing from Brown University than paying for a useless certificate from MSC.

I think Go West wrote "King of Wishful Thinking" about a guy who wasn't able to find another medical sales job after he got fired from Stryker due to performance issues.

He was such a wishful thinker that he decided to teach others how to get jobs he himself couldn't get, to sell products he himself couldn't sell.

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for a refund, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you stop the negative comments now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will re-enroll you!!

It's impossible to verify any of these.

I was very skeptical when introduced to the Medical Sales College from a website. I have been reading these threads the last few days while doing research on the company. I have seen you post no less than 100 times about “ethics” and “fake-testimonials”. I finally was about to believe you when I decided to check out the information provided by this person you call “EliteMed-MSC guy”. I took all of “five minutes” searching “Medical Sales College” on Linkedin (I typed first name – last initial, linkedin and Medical Sales college into google) and sure enough, every name on their facebook page lined up with a REAL PERSON on Linkedin. I found pages of people with a MSC background with device jobs.

I am not sure who you are but YOU are the fraud and should be ashamed of yourself. People are trying to find angles into this business and needless to say, it is a very difficult job market. I now am 100% certain that every post negative is you because they ALL say the same thing. If it is “EliteMed-MSC guy”, he is right, it does work! He should have just put up this information along time ago.

My suggestion is that you get your agenda driven a** on someone else’s thread and waste your pathetic life away with them. People like me are looking for true information not your fraudulent practices.

I will be enrolling tomorrow!

Check out the REAL information people.

I saw that one guy has had 5 jobs in 2 years. Any decent Company not on Elite payroll would hire these people. And you can make a fake profile just like on FB people. Please use your heads when it comes to your money.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.

We call out your fiction and you rebut with Pulp Fiction.

Here is my opinion. i graduated from the spine class back when it was still a 10 week course. I learned a lot from the instruction. However, the whole recruiting side of the business is a joke. I had one interview after I graduated and that was 5 months after. After that, nothing. They had my money so why should they care. And that was typical for over half my class of whom none received any interviews from AIMS.

The instruction was good and I could have had a coherent conversation with any spine doctor in the country after I went there. But you had better have a job already lined up because chances are they aren't going to help you out one bit.

Now here's a real testimonial. Notice that it's not one sided. The author says he learned something from MSC, however the program is basically a waste since more than half the class he graduated with could not land medical sales positions.

Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. It is impossible to make everyone happy.

I don't see where this person said it was a waste. I think this is another example of you "reaching". They said the recruitment side was a "joke" but the education was good. it was also indicated that they attended AIMS not MSC!!! MSC doesn't have a 10-week course. Therefore, they attended in 2009 not 2012. The recruitment team went from 3 to over 20 recruiters. So actually, you are making a better case for going to MSC. The education is still terrific but now the recruitment is significantly better. That would explain why they have so many placements (recent), testimonials (recent) and favorable attention.

It's irrelevant what you called your recruiting arm and course back in 2009, since EliteMed Recruiting and Medical Sales College (MSC) still operate the same exact way: EliteMed lures vulnerable jobseekers with bogus job ads, then pushes them toward your expensive MSC course via the false promise of a medical sales job. (People looking for jobs don't "invest" approximately $10,000 for an interview.)

Stop trying to confuse jobseekers though equivocation. At the end of the day, what that poster said is that more than half of his MSC class did not get jobs. In other words, more than half got scammed. Perhaps your 81% placement claim really means 81% don't get placed.

More unverifiable testimonials. If you "invest" $10,000 to attend MSC, don't be surprised to be one of the "losers" who don't get placed. That's what they'll call you, since they always blame their victims. If they placed 27 in 3 weeks, then I wonder how many more they didn't place?

Finally, look at the post above and ask yourself why its author is pretending to be a consumer. He is obviously affiliated with EliteMed-MSC. What legitimate school posts fake testimonials? None!
