MASSIVE LAYOFF! ENTIRE MIGRAINE DIVISION LET GO!!!

Amgen CA is screwed, our entire EH, NJ team slashed. They have fools running the show in CA, a guy who sold canned pineapple, a lady who sold coffee creamer plus a bunch of consumer hacks. Doctor's reference them as the d team, worst of the worst.

On a positive note, we no longer have to listen to Petunia on calls, bla bla bla me me me blabla look at me.

Unbossed has a new definition. Stock price has been flat forever. Signs point to status quo and cutting to try and maintain very average performance. Management doesn’t seem to have an eye for good talent.

This is the truth too. Stock price flat for years. Every non commercial person got flat fucking bonuses last year despite a 1.8 billion dollar share buy back and increased in dividends again.

Billions trying to appease share holders that should have been invested in pipeline, novel therapeutics etc.

When the E suite is heavily compensated with stock, what do you expect?

Everyone put on the streets!!!!

not true. many of us who behaved and worked are getting in with Amgen. So many of you fellow Novartis reps didn't do much. It was bound to happen. Amgen had to do most of the work and we all know it--all the pharmacy calls and programs, and we couldn't do virtual. I was not surprised.

I played nice with my Amgen rep and I'm getting an expansion territory.

We also got a great severance so stop whining.

I heard cardio is next 25-30% by end of year?

Does anyone feel secure in their job? Probably not. 1 year ago there was a $678 million lawsuit and a game changing CIA. No after hour events. Are you surprised they are having layoffs? Covid allowed the company to gain a better handle on virtual doctor calls to reduce face to face. The writing has been on the wall for some time. Neuro won't be the last and if you are truthful to yourself you already know this. Someone posted 325 reps were laid off. At a conservative estimate of $250,000 per rep per year which covers compensation, benefits, and expenses that is a savings of $80 million PER YEAR. If you were the CEO knowing a rep now can't create as much of an impact because the CIA and doctors eliminating access, would you reduce your sales force?

agreed

I'm more than likely getting hired by Amgen as I worked great with my partner and worked. Most of you all didn't do much of anything but bitch and moan.

you're not the victim. you got a big severance. you'll find a new job. wake up

most already got jobs and got severances. Amgen did everything anyway. We did nothing.

Who the fuck are you kidding!!! Amgen assholes they are!

first of all only about 175 reps got let go and prob 19 mgrs. so it wasn't 325 of us

2nd of all, I worked and am getting hired by Amgen.

you all were lazy and loved having to do nothing during Covid due to Novartis' CIA and rules. I don't like seeing any of us lose our job but we got great severances and we had it very easy for 3 years as we all know Amgen did most everything in the territory. You are not the victim.

I'm keeping my severance and now on to a better Co. Amgen.
