Karyopharm - oncology

This!!!! Should be talked about across company! Bad leadership from day 1 of RP. He ignored advice on day 1 to cut spending and made decisions “how” people looked:(
He has been a failure at every stop in his career...except for building a career...he is a master manipulator is convincing powerful people that he is good at his job...just wish he could transfer that skill set to actually running the company. This is merely a stepping stone to the next CEO job, which I have no doubts, he will trick someone into giving him.

I do agree, the BOD has to do something, however that would mean they would have to admit their mistake in his hiring...which they most likely will not do. Ego...

I love how this team moves from one shiny object to another like no one knows what they are doing. When Siendo 1 flopped them tried to distract with mds, touting its "long time to mature data". That was the big opportunity. When that flopped they quickly turned back to S2 and how great that would be. They even downplayed MF on a call stating "they are open to anything with mf" ie partnership etc. bc they knew runway would never make it to readout......now when S2 shits the bed on execution......lord oh mighty look at MF. The landscape is "evolving nicely" and we will make it to read out...yeah right. Trying to dangle the shiny objects so they can continue to pillage the remaining cash before the inevitable BK.......are all us employees dumb???

Don't be too sure about him landing somewhere else this time. The failures have been too big and too visible.

Unfortunately bad leaders in our industry tend to fail up. I hope you are right however. Could you imagine him landing at a company you have money invested in? I would sell every share immediately!!! So at least we've gained that knowledge here.

does anyone have any confidence left in this CEO ?? I mean he fumbled the ball at every turn. Rev went down q over q, trials failed (si al comers which he said was statistically significant and had to be corrected by analysts), refused to cut expenses and run risk of running out of runway, total rookie move, pushed out or killed on going trials. I mean really, all this really happened with this guy and he kept his job and even received full bonus. He should of been fired over one year ago. He it just reactive, has no vision, and no backbone to make tough decisions. What has to happen before the board takes action ?? The street has 100 percent lack of confidence that this guy can do anything, let alone complete a successful trial or ramp rev.

Agreed. It is time. I gave him the benefit of doubt while he got up and running, however he has not grown into the role, and has displayed his greenness more often than not - he is actually getting worse. What they are also not being transparent about is even when endo reads out, the competitive landscape will have changed and what we once thought was a good market for us to land in will be fiercely competitive with better therapies...Seli is not the only treatment showing activity in p53WT...

another day in this dumpster fire doing "God's" work. When will the misery end???
Not until we run out of money, the CEO is ousted, or by some miracle a very cash heavy, yet stupid company offers us $5 a share...until then keep drinking the K-Juice, tell yourself, Endo will save us, I mean MF will save us, I mean...well you know what I mean.

How many "formidable" pillars remain in what was RP impenetrable "four pillar" strategy. lol Imagine him pitching that BS to get the job ?? Someone bought it.....how many remain ??? MDS melted away like cotton candy on a on a toddler's lips; endo stood so very strong until management displayed its utter weakness. The little engine that could just couldn't; oh now, MM. omg all oral is the real deal. It's so real that we can't get it enrolled to readout. See it in the distance, what is that on the horizon, a comet, a space ship, or clin-ops person fumbling another attempt at salvation; lastly, MF. The data is ever evolving and the landscape is changing; however, we need to turn over the couch cushions to search for quarters, nickels, and dimes bc we gave all our money to the CEO. We didn't have the foresight to cut costs and anticipate delays; MF at best maybe a toothpick. So how many pillars remain ?? Is it 1, 1.5 or .75 ?????

The pillars were always made of salt...then the rain came.

There's a reason he was fired from Ipsen.

Wow, as much you feel he’s worthless, he must be a genius then to be able to fool, the BOD, institutional investors, and the SEC.

If the BOD thought he was the problem they could remove him quickly, just like they did with MK. If the institutions thought he was the problem they could proxy out the entire BOD, RP included.

If the SEC thought he was intentionally or unintentionally running the company into the ground for his own benefit they could investigate and prosecute.

You seem to be venting from a personal and dramatic perspective on him…it’s odd.

The company was headed in this direction well before the stock fell. That’s on MK and led to his dismissal. Like most, if not all, small cap biotech’s the data will drive the markets they can play in and what revenue potential there is. It’s not that complex. There is no lever any CEO could pull to get Seli to drive more revenue in the two small indications…they need the Endo and MF data to read out positively…if one or both do KPTI will go up. If they both go bad, it’s over…regardless of the CEO.
where is this guy at defending the data ?? Will be ever get to the data this they keep delaying it due to unforced errors ??
CEO cant drive rev, he can't successfully run a trial, he can't successful deliver a positive read out. What can he do other than speak in veiled non answers to softball questions ???

Ok, then why have none of our institutional investors initiated a proxy ballot to remove board members and add their own?

Try removing the emotion from this. Our largest institutional investors know the timeline. No CEO can change the readout timing based on events, despite what some people on here are saying. The CRO’s and IRB’s control the data and its timing.

For the 1000th time, the two readouts will dictate the success or failure of KPTI. Until then there is no catalyst for the share price to move dramatically.
Or this....does the company have responsibility for driving enrollement........for having a good medical affairs department......why would they need to "double down" on medical affairs over two years into delayed trial ???? You cant make this up. the girl clown is even more over her head than the quack CEO....two buffoons.....she should go back to belly dancing practice......

RP is a clown..................she is girl clown. How can they repeatedly make mistakes with running trials when you know that the life of company depends on getting to data................it's unreal.

Can we have real discussion here for once…..can someone please explain to me the disconnect bw Siendo 2 data so far and the slow enrollment ?? How is it that the docs are praising data as “amazing” “unprecedented” yet it can’t get enrolled. I just listened to one doc say he site has been opened one year and zero enrolled. How can this be when the company is near death? Do t you put everything you got into this trial like your life depends on it. Is this a poor reflection on leadership,
Docs, patients, or the drug itself ??! Could it be that patients really do t want it ??? Please advise
