Iveric Bio

Thanks I appreciate the honesty, I think they’re having a hard time filling some of these positions. I sense a little desperation in the voices of the people I’m speaking to.

Getting advice from someone anonymous on cafe pharma isn’t the play. Especially when what they are saying is nonsense.
Talk to the retina surgeons/specialists and they will tell you all you need to know.

I totally agree with this advice. RS who don’t get paid by iveric (they’re paying a LOT—look at their website, they have like four different ad panels for a drug that isn’t approved) will tell you their leadership team gives them concerns. The heads present at the meetings and claim to have so few adverse events it makes other medical teams scratch their heads. This compound is not new. It’s been around for a long time under another company name. Seriously Google the history of the company and the drug, the medical team, and also look at the leadership team and exactly what experience they have. Take the job if you want a challenge but don’t be surprised if their claims don’t pan out. It’s all already out there.

Interviewed for Cleveland position, never heard back. What is up with people not letting candidates know? It is at an all time high for people not hearding anything back? Why is it taking months to fill a territory? That is a red flag right there. Either people are not accepting, or manager is looking for the 'perfect' candidate. That is an issue right there. Would not want to work for someone who is on the endless search, and noone is good enough. If you take this long to hire, people are going to run the other way. I have eyecare experience, and apparently, they are looking for retina, which is not as common. Accepted a great offer with another company, all good!

Congratulations on landing a new gig, but I just have a question after reading all of these posts. Who is the recruiter that this company is using? Sounds like a nightmare!

Same experience for me. If this is how they treat the reps they’re courting, how will they treat you once you’re on board? No thanks. Ghosting at its finest. A-holes….

I was contacted by an external recruiter named Mackenzie and then also by the internal recruiter Haley
Haley is by far the worst recruiter I have ever worked with. If you can even call her that. She is about as clueless as a brand new pharma rep who's never launched a product. A company who can't afford to hire a quality recruitment firm (and uses someone such as Haley to be their first impression) is saying a lot about the type of talent they are hiring.

I can't wait to watch this stock go in the dump.

They are trying to up the offer to retina reps while keeping others on the line.

Problem is that retina reps aren't jumping.

Heard several in my area passed on this opportunity

I've moved on in my search and will decline any future interviews.

Retina rep here who passed on this after 3-4 recruiters and the local manager contacted me on LinkedIn. The senior leadership is a major concern, just look at how they handled Beovu. Feedback from retina specialists is that the data is questionable and may be cherry picked. Do what you need to do for yourself but keep your eyes wide open

Same, I had two recruiters reach out to me plus the manager on LinkedIn plus another manager on LinkedIn after I passed on it and respectfully declined. They continued to message me after the fact.

She couldn’t answer much, I had a lot of questions and she just wanted to push me to a teams interview. I would like answers to a few things before I spend time interviewing. couldn’t tell me salary, bonus, vacation, stock, 401k match l, or even if I get a gas card vs mileage?

The head of medical is a used car salesman. No one in leadership has any real credibility. They also tried to slam their competition by saying iveric has more retina experience. Where exactly? Not in the sales leadership. That’s a huge claim without backup. Retina is a small world and this group has burned a lot of bridges.

Simms and Anand have retina experience from Genentech and Novartis but lack the integrity to succeed in their roles
