IT Layoffs

Wow ... must have been some sharp planning to lay folks off and bring them back as contractors (not surprised) ... imagine how motivated they be with the company that just laid them off. Talk to two office yesterday that are fed up ...waited on hold for hours and hours last week about IT issues and calls were never answered ... and one of them that had an interface project almost ready to go live that is now on hold as Quest has no resource to work with them. Good times!
 












I'm with ya ... spent my whole week trying to talk clients down from the ledge ... so frustrating that we have lost any kind of IT support. Who's responsible for this mess????
 






























and she's not the only one... someone name Erin joined a call with one of my clients about their interface project and she was clueless! I don't think she knows what an interface is...
 


















how anyone comes out of this unscathed is beyond me ... this is just preposterous ... ridiculous ... absurd ... idiotic!!! I've had five customers today along read me the riot act!!!
 






I feel for the ones let go. We all work hard and show for it. Just those ass kissing managers that dont know how to save their own asses so they throw everyone else under the bus.

I gave this place many years of hard work. what do I now have to show for it . Zero. In my fifties. out of work for a long time. Draining 401. lost house. I worked for my people and their families future. This new management doesnt know how to make money. only way is getting rid of people and thinking of themselves.

Sales needs IT ,IT needs sales. We need drivers, frontliners. etc

What we dont need is more people in Madison saying slash, cut.....and work till you drop.

They all work from home. 3-5 hours a day. Conference calls that no one has any meaningful input. Believe me I have been on them. They just look to fill their calendar with calls.

We are no longer leaders in the industry but followers of our competitors ideas.

My respect for all the Laboratorians that work so hard
 






EM is not productive at all in the real world. Works from home all the time.
Never understood how EM got away with shuffling papers and throwing some buzz words around.
If EM is trying to fix your issues it will not happen. But watch and learn. EM will not be in the middle very shortly. A real master at that. It will be somebody else's mess soon unless the "New" Quest can identify people that need to be held accountable for completion of real issues.
Still too many of these types hanging out. The layoffs did not account for this at all.
