Yes, I’ve read through the various threads obvious that there appears to be one consistent voice that wants to badmouth the company. I can’t imagine how awful it would be to work with this person. It sounds like they may not work here anyway. I’m looking at this is a career booster, with the potential for a pretty large payday if things pan out the way I think they could over the next few years. A key deciding factor is assessing who your manager will be so that’s to be determined. I’m the type of person that will make it happen no matter what the circumstances are so unless the company just completely implodes, I’ll be fine. I’m looking forward to moving ahead in the process and figuring out if this looks like it’s good a fit as I think it might be.

Nobody in their right mind would take this job. Only sure desperation would be the only factor. Amgen and Sanofi and Regeneron had huge layoffs in Dec of 2019 and people were looking for a quick landing spot until they could find a reputable company. Esperion was nothing but a bus stop.

I want to mention a very big win for Esperion, which is expecting Kaiser to soon update Cardiologists: Bemepedoic acid recommendations, advising patients that are Statin intolerant, or need additional medication beside a statin to lower LDLc levels and try Nexletol or Nexlizet before prescribing a proprotein convertase subtilisin kexin type9 (PCSK9 injection). I believe Kaiser had 314,000 patients on by weekly PCSK9 injections in 2023.
I think it would be prudent to research whether Statins are beneficial.
Studies have come out about the long term adverse consequences and the number needed to treat is huge, for showing benefit.
