Intermune

Last thing I want is to get into a pissing match about a drug when nobody is on board yet.

Consensus seems to think in a short time frame, ITMN will be bought out. The only question is whether ITMN will include the risk into larger salaries/more stock guarantees = RSUs + more options, bigger bonus, and control change guarantee

ex. if company is bought automatic 6 mos severance will be granted.

If ITMN does not have these parameters in place they will not get the best talent. They will get disgruntled ppl miserable at their current jobs, bottom feeders, and people that couldn't sell coffee beans to Starbucks.

Who has the better drug? BI or Intermune?

If intermune gets bought out it could be a cash cow fir intermune reps. Fully vested in the stock, and potential rollover to the buyer, or a nice buyout with severance.

Happy days are hear again!!!! I'm going for both!!!

BEST STATEMENT OF THE WHOLE THREAD.
WILL ITMN PAY UP FOR THE RISK OF UNEMPLOYMENT IS THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION

Yes you will be filthy rich with severance. Depends on language of change in control.
The most recent biotech buyout.
Onyx by Amgen. Change in control a whopping 60 day= 2 months for you math experts.

You still celebrating Mr. illogical, delusional, "nice buyout with severance". Take that back to your wife see how happy she is knowing she has to work back at the brothel again.

Ladies. The game changed while you slept. No one but no one has to offer anyone massive guarantees. You want this position. What holds you back - while somewhat relevant - is not what a product launch is about - people who desire this type of ground breakng position are going forward and applying - they are not what you describe. Sadly, it sounds like you are the one that is miserable because you cannot imagine a product launch with a small start up - not in your wildest dreams. Sit back and watch how this is done. By professionals.

Spoken like the typical lifetime pharma rep! Ask the "professionals" at Discovery Labs and Dendreon how their once touted "ground breaking" sales position and product are doing and how that has worked out for them, their career, their finances, and their family life? I could name 3 other examples but what good would it do with your head buried so deep in the sand you can see China?

Nobody's worried about BI. Both drugs will get used and possibly in combination

If you are from Intermune and you typed the above response I think that pretty much describes the level of individuals who have come to work at the organization. Stay clear! This is scarey.

My hope is you are a shareholder who really has no idea about pharma or the medical community. Not sure which you are a part of either way you lose all credibility with the above statement for many many many reasons.

Actually I do work at Intermune. Please elaborate on why I'm an idiot.....

BI dosing is 1 pill BID

Intermune dosing is 1 pill TID 1st week, then 2 pills TID 2nd week then finally 3 pills TID for duration of disease?

stop giving the marketing firms free info. They make millions off of you idiots! At least let them pay you for your insights. Many firms do! I have done it 5x now with different firms for different disease states.

So any word on salary...base and target bonus?

BI is going with $90-105 based on experience (could go a little higher for a tenured specialty rep) bonus is targeted at $35

I'd think ITMN would need to be at least 20% more

BI is offering up to 140k. Not sure target bonus. At least 10 years experience for BI. Good luck to all! Intermune appears to have the better drug.

Here is a good article on drug comparison, but you should actually read the clinical trials yourself. My concern is the InterMune compensation model, sales targets, and possibility of being bought out, and out of a job, before or shortly after launch. I have an upcoming interview; interested in hearing more about this position from the hiring manager.

Getting bought out could be great if there are stocks that will vest. BI offers no stock.
