If they are only going to pay primary care salaries, they are only going to get primary care reps. The candidates who interviewed already declined the 90k base salary, so they HAVE to interview additional candidates. If they would talk salary earlier on in the interview process, they would have more people who are willing to take that kind of money going into the finals. I hope they learned their lesson.

Are you kidding me? Do you know how many people who have been downsized would jump at any job right now. These are very successful people, probably more so than yourself. What planet are you on? Your logic doesn't even make sense. The reason they moved the date back has nothing to do with people turning down 90K salaries fool.Humility is a wonderful trait. You should try it.

Big pharma people are the ones that have been downsized. This company has been trying to get biotech reps. Why would a company want big pharma rejects that have never been solely accountable for a territory? They don't want people from a pod selling environment that prove accountability for their so called success. If they are going after biotech, they will have to pay.

I was told they pushed back hiring as well, but it seams we are all getting a little different info. This company sought me out, I have a job, but was initially interested. It seams they have been stringing many of us along. They have really turned me off.. good luck with them!!!!!!!!

Heard there is a possibility the hold off may not be on all of the positions, some they are preparing offers for.....does anybody have any official word? Also, if they are holding off....why?

90k base salary you consider a primary care salary - what planet are you on?! Since when have PC reps ever make 90k? There are so many people out of work right now they would love just getting a job offer much less be complaining about a 90k base. Your way out of touch. I'm happy someone is stupid enough to decline a 90k salary - it only increases the chances of those who would be more than happy to have this kind of opportunity.

I should have clarified myself, SUCCESSFUL primary care reps would have declined that salary. BTW, I don't think this company is interested in hiring people who have been let go from another company. At least that is what the hiring manager told me in my interview.

Was the hiring manager's name John?

This post is "BS." First off, being a primary care rep would not have even gotten you through the initial phone screening because you are just that, a PC rep, and they are looking at seasoned professionals with advanced clinical knowledge RN's, specialty reps, etc. Sorry Charlie, no PC reps who have mastery at catering in lunches and detailing allergy medication - doesn't matter how "successful" you and your pod mates were at doing it.
Secondly, no one manager would be so "stupid" to tell a perspective candidate a discriminatory comment that could easily get them terminated from their position at the company.
Finally, no final f2f interviews have been conducted as of yet, and the phone center is not telling anyone anything including delays in hiring, etc.
I encourage anyone on this board to be patient and get your answers from the company itself and not from CP where telling lies are SOP.

Here we go again. All these fictitious start-up companies, and Ikaria is just one of them. Recruiters call, get you excited, have you complete om-line assessments, then totally disappear.
Word of advice: All you fictitious firms, please, do us all all favor: DON't contact qualified candidates UNTIL you have an APPROVED drug and ARE READY to hire.

Signed,

Sick and tired of these bogus companies with nothing of value.

Actually Einstein, Ikaria has been around for about 7 years. They did go through interviews, but, obviously, you were not qualified enough to make it that far. Don't worry, I am sure no one will ever bother you again.

And if you were so called "qualified" and interviewed f2f. Did you get an offer? I was told they have not interviewed in all markets and are still going through the process. Problem is......do you want to work for a company with such horrible follow-up. NOT I... I'll better your chances. I have have a job!!!

Couple of things: 1) The interviews were just finished so I am awaiting an offer, 2) I actually have a job and am doing quite well thank you, 3) What the hell does "NOT I....I'll better your chances." mean, you must be setting the world on fire for your current employer....I am shocked that they have not made your hiring a top priority........this must speak to their incompetence....also I am glad you "have have" a job, your mother must be proud!
