Ikaria?

I just had an interview with them. Two telephone interviews, one with the National Sales Manager (nice guy). The catch was that the second phone call was a conference call with the sales team. I didn't know I was going to be talking to a 2 people at once, didn't know it was a conference call, and well, these guys had no idea how to interview someone - I was thrown a bit off guard. They asked me questions like "what could I bring to the team that they don't have" Since I didn't know a thing about either of them I had no idea how to answer. They also said people perceive them as arrogant. I think this would be a fun job, but frankly, I was unprepared for that type of telephone interview. Thought this might help anyone else who does interview with them.

That is much different then my experience. mine has been quite positive. have you inquired about salary range?

STAY AWAY!!
This company is full of shit. I got to them through a recruiter and even though I'm employed and have been with the same pharm co for the last 7 years, I went forward with it to test the field.
I told the recruiter what my salary requirement was in order for me to make a move and said that number was firm. He said, "they are aware of that number and realize it's non-negotiable. They are very interested in bringing you on board."
Well, I finally got my offer and it was $25K LESS than what I told them was my requirement! What a scam! Of course, every company will talk about 'potential' and 'bonus' numbers but until they 'guarantee' the bonus, I don't buy it.
Of course, I declined the offer and told them what I thought of their tactics. The recruiter was pissed but I told him it was his fault in the first place knowing they would try to lowball me and get me on the cheap.
Moral of the story: unless you desperately need a job, don't talk to this company. If you have a job, stay with it because other small biotech companies come along all the time.

Who was the recruiter? CrownKemble?

This drug is going to be a dog to sell in the NICU people, have you looked at the evidence based outcomes? Sure you will have a job, but you won't have any business, and the last time I checked your bonus and keeping your job is based on growth/marketshare. Good Luck to all.

What area? What was the offer?

just interiewed for a west director position..and was less than impressed....senior leadership experience is all big pharma and they expect the Regionals to manage this way. The offers are very average. Coming from a biotech company as a regional that currently makes 150 base, you would expect at least 165-170 base. They are trying to bring people in no higher than 140. That equals big pharma vets.

I've been told that base pay is maxed at 95K and bonus is 50K at plan.

If they expect to get good (employed) reps to jump, they're going to have to loosen up a little on the 95K number.

They don't pay nearly enough. The company is BIG PHARMA. The dude wants me to give him a report every week to let him know where I will be working the following week. Crazy MICRO manager. What's he going to do, pop in on a hospital unexpectedly that I told him I would be at? I was about to ask him if I was in the wrong interview. I will not be baby sat.
