If your happy and you know it...

Never seen any manager been fired- at least on the 2nd floor.
In successful companies with healthy work environment, bad managers are given a boot and good managers are retained and rewarded. In broken, toxic environments stupidity and bullying flourishes and gets promoted, while smart, ethical people rush out. New CFO is the only hope for a change now.

Lol forgot about PC. New CFO has read a few select exit interviews but I believe she only plans to fire one moron on 2, who has been secretly placed on probation and monitored. Manager on 3 is too tight with UB and doesn’t report to CFO. She’s there for life. You wanna see change? File official complaints, not complain on cafepharma. The problem is that back office drama is the least of Taro/Sun’s worries. There are more pressing issues going on with sales teams, SEC, FDA, M&As and plants getting shut down. Not to mention CDC guidelines. Sales teams are still being paid at full salary. CFOs of both companies need to figure out where the money needs to come from. And that’s not easy since they are being shut out of provider offices due to pandemic. Firing managers on 2 or 3 is not on the top of their list. UB doesn’t really care about toxic culture and negativity right now. He’s counting every penny spent on “amenities” like getting rid of that old carpet, ice cream trucks, updated bathrooms, mini mart, and the cheap healthcare plans. In his eyes we are ungrateful Americans. Sorry, folks. No change coming.

If UB and company executives bacame more involved in fixing the toxic culture, they'd see they could save hundreds of thousands. A toxic culture is far from profitable. Money down the drain everyday. No change = same issues, same waste of money. That's just plain dumb.

At some point, manager on 3 is going to cost the company......... a lot. Then you have the manager who can only keep friends on team. Any real talent leaves or they push them out for not wanting to be a part of the BS. The team he has now consists of buddies. How the department functions is mind boggling. Every single employee should rate their leader and HR needs to get involved.

Hard to point fingers and blame a CEO during a global pandemic where the “new norm” seems to be altering minute to minute.

Also nonsense blaming the CEO for taking your “amenities” away. We are in a period of uncharted territories. I am sure the CEO did all the changes by following CDC guidelines as well as taking advice by external counsel.

The manifest of toxicity is undoubtedly the blame of the “tag team” in HR.

Having dealt with issues, it baffles me the responses delivered. Based on the reactions, and comments from others as well, I am willing to bet there is some nepotistic relationship between the two.

Never had an issue with the GVP of HR and respect her professionalism to the fullest, the other two down the hall, absolutely mind boggling.

Just my opinion, thank you.

Those two are a clique and can not and will not relate to other employees. Everyone knows toxic cliques doesn't allow for a healthy environment. It creates a hostile environment and encourages bully growth. They're aware of the things that go on and look the other way. Couldn't be bothered. I'm certain that the CEO is following guidelines, and doing his best. How much can he do? He has to rely on management to do the right things.

Hats off to the CEO, a commendable job you are doing sir during the pandemic, bravo to you.

Too many cliques is absolutely right. The H.R. team must go. The feed the toxic fumes to the organization.

Funny, when I first came on board I thought they were cousins. They are not the best in masquerading for sure.

CEO new about ongoing problems in Finance long before the pandemic and all these other issues you mentioned. No way he didn't notice employee turnover over the last 3 years, no way he didn't see how experienced finance people were replaced by cheap entry-level dummies and quality of work has been sliding down, no way he wasn't aware of racism, offence and employee rights violations. He just chose to turn blind eye and deaf ear and let it all spin.

Not just Finance. 3rd floor shenanigans
Are ridiculous. Someone posted that complaints should be filed. Why? What happens when complaints are filed??? Nothing. It's a neverending bully culture. Employees leave, exit interviews are tossed aside and the cycle begins all over again.

Of course he knew. CEOs are usually shielded from that kind of nonsense from their underlings, but that ended two years ago when Finance got those terrible company survey results. He demanded improvement and then the bullying began that chased out all the good people and left all the brown-nosing incompetents behind. No employee development and training was offered to improve the results.

I wasn’t blaming UB, I was just pointing out he doesn’t care. People really think 2 hour lunch breaks and how to stop those who take them is what’s keeping him up at night. Lol.

No training and development.
Spot on! I'd bet anything that anyone who's still at that office and is talented and hard working is looking to leave. To the person who posted that offices should be moved to Princeton, what good would that do if the office would be run the same way. Same actions expecting different results?? Clever.

FF has to go. He's the worst. They need to start looking at exit interview results in evaluating managers performance.
FF has two major skills: MS Excel and ability to take credit for his direct reports' work. Not much expertise beyond that, however, in companies like ours- with non-working systems and unprofessional environment, those 2 skills became key to success.

I could believe FF taking credit for previous employees work. He did have quality talent. But taking credit for the work of the staff he has NOW? That would get him fired on the spot. No way, no how.

Hmmmm, I don't know, 2 hour luncges and a clueless staff? How much in salary would be saved?

All I’m saying is that people’s salary and benefit packages are pennies in comparison to fines and the stock price and plants failing compliance codes. His focus is on sales force, products and stakeholders. At the end of the day he has to make sure Taro’s stock prices don’t fall. He does not care about backoffice drama. In his view, he addressed employee morale when he did his cosmetic renovations and awarded Hawthorne peeps with mini mart, food trucks, and birthday parties. Things were already bad prior to pandemic. Now he has TMs, RMs, Reps, etc getting paid full generous base and benefits and M&As and products he has to re-evaluate. HE DOES NOT CARE! The world in business has never revolved the groups that cost or save the company money. It revolves around the departments that generate revenue. That is why Manager on 3 is safe. New CFO was never hired to “fix” issues in Finance. She was hired to keep stock price up and keep stakeholders happy. Whoever posted on this thread that cleaning up the place was her main agenda was grossly misleading you all.
