Idorsia contract

The job is primarily calling on Primary Care with very little Specialist. I don’t get it.
Funny! When I applied for the DM role I was told 75% specialty- Neuro & Psych, which are my background. Now they are saying PCP??? I really think they are struggling to find their niche. It’s not going to be an easy sell so I wish everyone luck. There isn’t a lot of demand for the 3rd Dora in a highly generic marketplace.

it is not timed. It's situations and multiple choice answers. Any of the answers (for the most part) would be acceptable, but which one fits you the most. 6 situations, 4 choices for each.

Supposed to make the trip, and if offered position, was anticipating adding a specialty role to the old resume. In the hopes of gaining "specialty" experience.
Thought that may help 1-2 yrs down the road when this contract is over.
Having second thoughts...
Good news, there are plenty of pharma jobs out there right now.

If you are scheduled late in day does that mean they already offered it to someone else by the time you even interview? Logically if 2 per territory and you are last of day they would have sent your competition to the Director who would have already offered them the job unless they massively messed up? Is it even worth going just to be a place holder? Serious input please..thx

Overthink much?

I am going to the interview in Dallas. But I definitely have concerns. I've done a few of these launches with Syneos and the drugs have failed due to not having good access to docs to talk about it (esp now in Covid), generics, no samples (looks like we aren't getting any here...so no reason for providers to want to see us), and company not really doing their research on the marketplace with their drug.
I never understand these pharma companies spending so much on something that is ultimately going to fail?

Hummm.. I hope they have done some market research.. That is why they are hiring us.. Need the hunter mindset.. Perhaps, vouchers will be given.. So many Pharm companies are not providing any samples.. Eye of the tiger, I am going to Philly to close the deal.. I say with covid, so many folks are not able to sleep.. It is a huge market 10% suffer from insomnia. I also understand the patent life for Daridorexant is 14 yrs.. 16 million folks are treated for insomnia in the US .. Also, Idorsia has a strong balance sheet entering in 2021.. Say strong everyone..

Here’s hopefully some helpful honest information for positive people who are looking to start a new career with a great company and need some clarity and peace of mind. And for the negative ignorant trolls…. sorry you probably won’t like this!
The entire interview process is different for everyone depending on when your hiring DM was hired and how much managerial experience they have. You could have three or four preliminary interviews or just one or two. You could be asked to take an online assessment or not. Your final interview in Dallas, Philly, etc could be at 9:00am or 4:00pm anytime between Dec 1 through Dec 10.

Bottom line…If you get invited to interview before Nov 29 for a final interview and you really want this job and you go to that final interview and kill it, then you will be asked to join this great opportunity as a founding member of Idorsia.

You can expect a base of 85-95k with excellent benefits, a company car, security for probably three years (who of any of us these days can say anything beyond that) and a NEW START with a stable company willing to invest a lot of money, with a strong pipeline that is led by people who have a proven successful track record.
For the strong, hopefully I’ll celebrate with you soon at a launch meeting Q1 next year!
For the Trolls, find another outlet for your misery…and eat a dick!

Well said, end of story.

Previous thread, thank you for explaining everything.
I’m very excited to be asked to to the final interview. Everyone can speculate all they want but it is HOW and WHAT you can do to make this a success, they are definitely no guarantees in life. Put your best foot forward and don’t look back!

Ok, so listen up…

Idorsia is to launch its first fully owned product to the market in the US, if FDA approves! The expansion of Idorsia will depend on the success of Daridorexant in the US. A collaboration with Syneos is maybe not the most ideal but it is the way forward for the expansion of Idorsia US for a pharma company that only have a handful of people working for the US operation @ Idorsia. I am convinced that if the launch is successful a lot of people could eventually switch long term from Syneos to Idorsia. There are 5 more Phase 3 trials, more drugs to be approved in the next years. Idorsia is a spin-off of Actelion, which was bought by J&J for about 30 billion dollars! The Idorsia leadership team wants to copy this success once more. Wouldn’t you not want to be part of this?

so it’s simple, if you work hard, you will get to play hard…you are not just pushing drugs for a big naw pharma co..you a participating in a successful launch of Idorsia US were a lot of good things are about to happen…

good luck all!

Due to communication issues, got the 4PM slot. It was mentioned depending how interview went, maybe asked to interview with Regional Director....so, if you are not, is it game over?

I would think they would make it fair no matter what time slot you have. I am also mid-afternoon. My only question is what time do they want us to schedule our flights if we are late in the day? This wasn't discussed. I was only told to schedule my flight when the scheduler calls. What if I schedule a flight a few hours after my late- the-day interview, but they really needed me to stay for another interview?
