HCP Access

This is the most real post on CAFE PHARMA. I've been saying this for years; critical thinking tells us all the signs are there to support this fact. When you spend more time checking the boxes and justifying your job to the higher ups then actually selling there is something wrong. Also the management is 1000% cognizant of poor access but again this is money laundering in a very sophisticated manner.

Keep practicing your Challenger Selling Model and roleplays at NSMs, Regional Meetings, District Meetings, Certification, and Rehearsal. Absolute waste of time when providers see no value in you. Why would they ever waste their time with a lay person, YOU! That's why you have no access. Get out before you are extinct.

To be fair, it'd be a waste of time regardless of whether or not the rep brings actual value.

It’s all a huge waste of time, challenger sales has no application to our industry and just pisses off HCPs! You could theoretically get rid of 80% of our sales force and I doubt revenue would go down that much, considering 80% of prescribers are no see anyways! I will just enjoy taking an easy check from Abbvie until I retire in 2 years!:)

As someone who recently left the company to retire, take your Doordash and FedEx delivery skills (because that's all you provide) and do something meaningful with your lives. Go back to your Enterprise Rental Car and Best Buy jobs where you belong.

Love Challenger and those tasty donuts in my plastic trash bag

If Elon Musk ran a pharma company, would he employ sales reps? Answer: NO! Wake up Botox Ricky!
Worked back in 2000 for Allergan when access for Botox injectors (physicians) was easy. We had all the budget and freedom in the world. The division was run like the wild, Wild West. Almost no rules and Compliance looked the other way because the $$$ kept rolling in. Now? Good luck getting into see anyone with so many competitors and the hardass office people restricting access based on outmoded COVID concerns.

If physicians had questions about your drugs or were interested in your data and studies they should not consider you as their source. They would research Pubmed, peer reviewed journals, or the internet. Everything is there. They would in the rare case contact your MSL. The last person they should be getting their medical information is from a lay person with an agenda, themselves and their sales. But most physicians either don't care about your data, are too busy running a practice and seeing patients, or are apathetic. Greasy Ricky and every other Pharma CEO should get rid of their sales forces and sales management, keep a few MSLs around to answer the rare question, and you will see an immediate 15-20% increase in their company's share price and a better ROI for all shareholders.

Office folk need to come off their high horses. Can we deny access is difficult? No. A lot of offices that let us in are 80% relationship based. If they like you and your product is up against a competitor, who do they think of? You (if they like you) offices do use us but forget the one off questions etc that we help them with. Providers dont have time for pubmed or even know what to search if you didnt come in. A lot of offices shut us out because of the improper resources our marketing team etc gave us and the aggressive sale models

Tell me you have never spoken to a real HCP without telling me you have never spoken to a real HCP.

The largest physician alliance in the US, Southern California Permanente Medical Group, bans pharma reps from calling on their offices! No donuts or sandwiches! Truth Matters!
