Reality = sales people are no longer people. No matter where you work or what you sell. You are a hired gun and highly expendable. You can be #1, #5, #10, #100 and it wont matter, the company, any company, will find a way to use you in the most effective way possible as such - a hired gun - and then, should you become a less effective shot, drop you like yesterdays trash.

If you want to survive you MUST be an equally cold killer yourself. You must understand that YOU only matter to YOU so be prepared at all times for a war and to join whatever side offers you the best opportunity in the present moment.

This is not a necessary reflection on this company but the state of business these days especially sales nationwide and probably world wide. Kill or be killed, we are all essentially independant contractors anymore.

i am sorry for the most recent questionable decisions. makes it hard to be a cheerleader for anyone but then again, killers dont need cheerleaders

You are such an asshole to sit there and call the people who were laid off "losers who gave nothing and were a liability for the company." Maybe we worked in states where Heath, Ford and Cole didn't give a shit to try to get our products covered. As for the 6 new products, that is such bullshit. That company can't even afford to pay reps to sell the few me-too products they have now. Maybe they will get ANOTHER seasonal product, ask their reps to sell it off label and promote it for an unapproved use, then fire them when they don't. They asked us to sell Cetraxal for use after surgery and push it in surgery centers so they could try to get movement in the winter, they had no approval for that.

As far as the numbers go, no one working at this company even believes the sales numbers. I am positive they make them up as the feel needed... Whatever works to make them money and if it's screwing their reps helps to pad their pockets, that's fine with them.

I hope they are out of business by years end.

You are really going to call the people who were laid off "losers who gave nothing and were a liability for the company?" As a matter of fact some of those "losers" had been with the company for years, and as recent as Feb. were on a cruise for being TOP PERFORMERS! So they had one, maybe two bad months and were laid off? That kind of shit doesn't happen unless a company is in financial trouble and LOOKING for a reason to get rid of someone. Especially considering their bad months were off season for the product they were to be promoting.

Oh and funny how you mention Heath and Cole having the "guts" to start up their own comany. To bad they don't have the "guts" to fire someone on their own without making someone else do their dirty work for them.

Wow this is such a pissing contest between people calling H&C assholes, and H&C and or supporters calling reps losers. Wraser is like the carrie underwood song 'Temporary Home'. If you make a few dollars there great, chances are u won't. You will never do better than any rep at a reputable pharm company with a real base salary, Hell u have to make 30K in commision just to get on par with the avg real pharma base, and at least for PC reps you aren't gonna make 30K in commision selling Cedax and Cetraxal. So take it for what it is and move on, they won't change their opinion or how they run things so deal with it or move. The fact that they violated the FDA order and shipped the Vazo's across state lines this spring is H&C's deal. If your a rep do what u need to move on and quit worrying about this shit. Yeah I was impressed that two guys could start their own pharma company, but I would be more impressed if they would have had the foresight to make sure their products were stocked by the wholesalers and had some managed care coverage.

Here the rep is paid approx $25k (some are paid more upwards to $35k in primary care) makes 12 sig calls a day plus 4-5 pharmacy calls. The average rep already makes $55k and makes 8-10 calls a day and they don't always have to be sig calls. Some of those reps have to make Rx calls and most do not. If you take a job here use it as a stepping stone and jump ship ASAP. Most companies and recruiters have never heard of Wraser before. We are happy here in the Derm force. I don't know what's going on in Primary Care or Pain because we don't deal with Heath & Cole very much. Tom is our VP and we are a big fan of him, our managers, and our districts. We all get along, which is really nice. I hope it gets better with the other divisions.

The reality here is that you can give 100% to this company and never come out ahead. Heath and Cole don't want to pay you the commissions you earn, they would rather keep it themselves. Why do think the compensation plans have changed so frequently? Seriously ask yourself that question. Working 110% won't save your job. If they feel like your territory won't produce big numbers they will cut you no matter how hard your working. It's aweful funny how they let go of reps right before the season for Cetraxal begins and they would have made their #'s. The timing is way off, the compensation plan changing almost monthly, none of it makes sense and it's certainly not a way to run a company and retains employees. They are wanting to hire people who have no prior pharma experience for a reason. If Heath and Cole really thought the reps they let go were losers then why are they not in a race to replace them?!? Maybe it's not the reps fault #'s were not there during season. If they thought the rep was a loser they would cut them and then replace them asap.
