Exactly. Their whole mantra has been about being professional, taking care of people etc but now with the influx of praluent people, the reps who were being recruited hard for a couple of months have been pushed to the curb. Wouldn’t be ironic if the drug wasn’t approved? I think that sort of thing is called karma.
Im not sure how many Praluent reps will get the jobs? I had what I thought was a solid interview, and have been working within the process well before the layoff happened. All I got was "you'll hear from us within 5 days." First you're told that if you make it to the next level you meet with VP? Director? Then you don't meet the director but are told you're still in consideration? I don't know. There's a lot of good Praluent reps around. If you think it was easy selling that drug, you just don't understand. It was a constant pain in the ass, day in and day out pride swallowing job. I still think it comes down to the basics: do I like this person Im interviewing across the table?
But the process was uncomfortable. Interview questions were odd. Very shallow. Not really matching what needs to happen with the questions being asked in interview. Maybe I won't make it. If not, it will be a bummer, but I'll do something to land on my feet. I always hope the best for people.
