Electric Vehicle

A sage post. Read the Forbes article this month, “in today’s environment, a physician seeing multiple manufacturer’s representatives would be overwhelming. The days of sending commercial sales representatives are done.” Time to buck up and get a real sales job!! The all day lie is about to end.

If they thought it was worthwhile to cut reps, they would have a decade ago. The fact is, for pennies on the dollar a sales force that costs them $20 million is worth it even with the less than 1% chance they’re effective at all.

the sale force isn’t even a sales force it’s more like a mobile AD force. Since no one is really selling anything anyway. It’s more like delivering an advertisement at each office. A lot cheaper this way then doing a tradional ad campaign that doesn’t work. Just think each rep is a 100K advertisement that works everyday.

So, tell me again how much we NEED these NOW? Stop being WOKE and start using some freaking common sense.

A new report from the electricity and gas utility National Grid (which serves parts of New York and Massachusetts) found a rapid increase in electric vehicles on the city streets and highways will require upgraded power grids to handle all the new demand. By 2035, a charging station could demand as much power as a sports arena or small town.

National Grid expects by 2035, large charging stations serving EVs, from SUVs and pickup trucks to delivery vans and semi-trucks, would require 19 megawatts of peak power -- that's approximately what a small town uses. In 2045, those large charging stations could demand upwards of 30 megawatts of capacity, with peak usage of a large manufacturing plant.

National Grid said current charging stations couldn't serve the EV demand of the future, indicating significant power-grid improvements would be needed. It said expanding the charging infrastructure would take time:

"Building these high-voltage interconnections and upgrades can take years, which is why it's important to take action right now.

"By making 'no-regrets' upgrades at 'no-regrets' sites, we can make sure fast-charging is there when drivers need it—and not a moment too late," the report said.

Today, the impact of EV charging on the grid is small, and there is enough excess capacity to handle the current fleet of cars, SUVs, vans, and pickup trucks.

As EV adoption expands, so will the electricity demand, and as we've noted, nuclear power generation will be the best form of on-demand clean energy. The White House understands nuclear is the future for a sustainable clean grid, as they rush to secure a "large amount" of funding for a domestic uranium strategy.

Unreliable solar and wind won't be enough to power the Biden administration's ambitious plan for half of all new vehicles sold in 2030 to be electric. Meanwhile, California set a target of 2035 to phase out the sale of new gasoline-powered light-duty vehicles.

Momentum is certainly building to electrifying vehicle fleets. In doing so, increasing investments in zero-emission nuclear power production and sourcing uranium domestically will be the key to sustainably powering future EV demand.

Omg - our planet is dying and the gas guzzlers are still saying it’s too early to save it! My children deserve to live in a world that doesn’t require wearing a respirator 24/7!!!

I feel sorry for your kids if that's the way you think and feel. You and your kind are exactly what's killing this country. It's not too late to get a clue! Good luck!

Works EVERY day? Not unless you count recording fake calls and spending the afternoon at the gym work. worthless overhead

Chevy Bolt guinea pig here. I won’t complain about the aesthetics or size of the car. I actually kind of like the way it drives. BUT…I can never plan to get more than 170 miles on a full charge. I drove 80 miles to a clinic this week and did not have enough charge to get back home. I have no DC Fast chargers in my territory. I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes charging up just to get home. I did not travel to the next clinic 30 miles further as planned, because I was not willing to spend any additional time unproductively sitting at a charger. What this ultimately means that AZ might care about is that we cannot be as productive as we need to be to drive business.

Helllloooo AZ management! Are you listening???? This electric go kart on wheels does not work for most. Quit forcing it down our throats. This is why most companies haven't adopted electric vehicles.

Go woke, go broke. Unreal.

Hey, at least I can keep my pocket rockets, rabbits and assortment of other toys charged during the day.

Agreed. With my sexual attraction fluidity now my norm (I guess the old term was "bi"), having a charged up, vibrating butt plug always ready is soooo nice. Don't knock it fellas. Feels really good :)~

Bummer you have to deal with this. Unfortunately, AZ fleet is clueless. They keep looking at the quoted range of 270 miles rather than focus on real world mileage. This can vary significantly with an EV and is influenced by many factors especially the geography of the territory.

EVs like the bolt are not meant for fleet they are small commuter cars that work well for people who drive to the city and back home.

AZ is slow to adopt other things yet they want everyone in an EV by 2025.

There’s a reason other companies are not doing this. They know it’s not practical and will wait until there are cars with more range and more infrastructure in place.

I know of some companies that are looking to go electric in 2030, which is more realistic.

Electric cars don't mean the end of driving fun. While it's entirely possible to enjoy the laid-back, relaxing driving experience, you can also prod the accelerator and enjoy the instant power delivery of electric motors, made famous by numerous YouTube 'reaction clips' of drivers shocking their passengers with sudden acceleration. I personally own an EV and can't wait to have one for my sales car. EV is the future so let's embrace the decision. Our children will thank us for saving their future.

For all of you that say "our kids will thank us" for driving electric cars.....do you know where the electricity comes from that is used to charge the battery?? Also, do you know the impact that happens when the rare minerals are mined to make the batteries?? Just a bunch of sheeple believing what the talking heads on their tv's tell them.
