Electric vehicle garage fire

Another Charger Fire, in Arizona! One of the Respiratory reps had their home Charger burn up inside their garage while charging their company EV in the driveway.
Scary crap!

The rep smelled the burnt wires and shut off the breaker (which had not tripped) Charger was scorched.

WTF

I'm sure AZ will investigate and determine that the charger didn't cause the fire. Just like the previous one.

The suspension of disbelief required to think these fires are all of a sudden just happening by chance is quite astonishing.

But a good little steward of the earth will believe whatever they are told. You can thank the public school system for that.

The cool thing about the EV is, it gave me a great idea for my wife a Christmas present, a gun for those hours spent charging on the side of the road.
I told my wife to resign. As soon as she finds a job, she is gone. She will not b sitting on the road side for 45 minutes charging while others watch her and decide if she is an easy target.

If she is sitting along side the road it’s because she is blowing your neighbor. There is no need to be sitting anywhere for long periods of time.

My husband put a trailer hitch on it. We look a logging chain up to it in the garage in case we have to pull the son of a bitch outside if it catches on fire.
Wouldn't it make more sense to put the charger outside and charge the EV outside the garage? That's what I do - no way in heck am I parking an EV inside my home.

Our next president is about to roll back all of the EV nonsense across our nation. Just watch how the auto manufacturers respond. Other big Pharma's will sit back and laugh at our EV program. Once again, we got it wrong at AZ

I think there is finally an end to this nonsense on the horizon. Both Ford and Volkswagen have closed their EV factories because there simply isn't enough demand for the vehicles. Trump will kill they national mandate on Day 1. Without government incentives propping it up this whole thing will collapse overnight.

Think of the money AZ wasted on this.

Home charger is not mandatory. You can simply decline and opt to use the public charging infrastructure.
As if that is a realistic option given the nature of a sales reps time and ability to get their job done and still be productive. What world do you live in? There is little to no choice here unless, someone wants their life to revolve around EV related issues and charging.
