GREAT news for current employees and those looking to be called back. Hearing on motions to vacate court decisions has been scheduled. This is simply fantastic. Let's hope for a sympathetic and fair judge who wants to see the company survive and save at least 200+ jobs so people aren't out on the streets! Sales people need promote the products and continue servicing the patients. All will be good. Have faith in God, DSI and yourself!

God Bless you GH, Karen and Ashley.
Keep your faith.
DSI has been very generous to the local community and it is a good employer to many.
This test of faith from God will come to pass.

As a competitor looking from the outside in at this turmoil I am truly baffled that so many employees seem to be still drinking the kool aid that your owner is serving. This is a large, market leading, long tenured organization that is continuously lying to its employees, bouncing paychecks, not paying taxes/benefits etc. This isn't some little 5 employee mom and pop shop that had its credit line maxed out and bounced a couple checks. This should NEVER happen at a company of this size and market share.
Wake up. This should have never happened, and the fact that it did says a LOT about the business acumen of your owner. If he does somehow salvage this, no trust should ever be placed in him again.
Signed,
A shocked/empathetic competitor
p.s. god didnt do this, George Hepburn did. Faith alone cannot fix this.
The latest situation:
Good Evening Colleagues:
Here's a summary of what took place today and what you can expect to see over the next week or so:
1. Our lawyers filed an emergency motion to lift the Writ of Garnishment filed by BB&T at Wells Fargo. We'll know in a day or two if it is permitted to stay in place or if it is ordered by the court to be lifted. This Writ is causing the money to be held at WF, not paid to BB&T. If lifted, the money can be used by us. If not, the money will be held by Wells Fargo until the judge rules on the case December 2nd. We will not be depositing any more money into Wells until this is settled in our favor.
2. The money at WF that is held equals roughly $200,000.All the checks that are now running through WF that were not cashed Friday night or Saturday will likely be sent back. These checks will be paid back to our colleagues before any new checks are issued to any person or entity.
3. We will begin issuing checks to immediately start the repayment of the bounced checks from this episode on this Thursday and Friday. The payroll for this Friday will be issued once all the bounced checks from WF are fully repaid. Because of the priority these WF bounced checks take over the next payment obligations, it is anticipated that this Friday's PR will begin to be issued most likely Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.Once that PR is fully issued, the next PR will be issued. To fully get back to where we were before this recent set back by BB&T, we will need about 2-3 weeks.
4. This could all be near instantly fixed if a $4,000,000 loan from Dr. Charles C. Edwards is settled within the next 2 weeks. This loan arrangement has been agreed to in principle. Dr.Edwards has been a Dynasplint Board member and shareholder for over 27 years. This loan can be settled in that short time frame. The proceeds of the loan would allow immediate funding of all past due expenses, PR , HSA and 401k benefits. As well, it would allow BB&T to be paid in full by December 1st. This would put DSI back on solid footing financially and squash the greatest threat now existing to our company's operating stability.
We've come a long way over these past three months and now have this additional hurdle to overcome as we approach full pay down of BB&T.
One last note . Tomorrow I will begin crafting for you to see what our company will look like after BB&T is paid in full. As well, this document will specify how those who persevere through this will be rewarded financially and otherwise.
Have a good night. Thanks to all .

How would George propose to pay this back? He hasn't paid anyone else.
Dr Edwards can be paid by an increase in sales.
There is almost limitless demand for the products given the aging baby boomer generation.
More sales, more patients, more revenue, more profit.
The downturn left the company lean and mean; now it can higher back the right people.
Loyalty will be rewarded according to GH posting above.
I believe in him. And apparently, so do the employees still working at DSI.
In the land of the blind the man with one eye rules... Unfortunately this is the blind leading the blind.
Oh ye of such little faith. Why do you want to see another 200+ employees out of work? GH said he'd make everyone whole once the bank is paid off.
First of all, George has said a lot of things. Yes, he said that we would be rewarded when we got through this mess...but he also said that for every day our paycheck was late, we would receive a "premium" of at least 10%. He said it at the very first meeting after layoffs, then promised we would have that in writing.Loyalty will be rewarded according to GH posting above.
