Duchesnay Drug, Training and Launch Meeting

Thank goodness it's over!

Watching them stretch the presentations was painful. There was absolutely no reason whatsoever to meet for 5 full days! No samples until fall. Hard to believe. I guarantee you once you see just how bad the managed care coverage is when they actually try and get a rx filled, you are going to be shocked. Tier 3 ain't going to cut it.

The bonus plan has to be the worst ever devised in pharma history. Force ranking one territory vs another is beyond unfair. That puts all territories on the exact same footing with respect to sales potential, which is of course, ridiculous. They are obviously metrics crazy which you would never expect from a small company. The territories are incredibly huge, and with them mandating 10 to 12 calls per day, AND mandating using that horrible IVA on EACH MD, that are going to make liars out of all of us. Add on endless ride-a-longs and you have a recipe for total failure.

Wj=hat a shame, I really had high hopes for this contract. I will be submitting resumes tomorrow, and go full time on my job search.

The force ranking thing, no samples, nightmare directions on using the CVA, gigantic territories with "foot-on-the back-of-your-neck" metric requirements (10 to 12 calls per day while driving 300 miles that day!), have killed the excitement around this contract. Wait until the managed care push back starts. The fake excitement in the rooms was hilarious!

I'll do the best that I can, but I am looking every day too.

I am sad that this company ruined this oppourtunity they treated us like children at the meeting and made it clear how hard they want us to work for little reward. I thought this could have been a good laid back job with a decent drug to sell, but this meeting proved this is a nightmare and must look for a new job immediately!

Yes, the excitement wasn't heart felt, but at least it's a job. I too, will do my best, but the size of my territory is going to destroy my car. The recruiter couldn't really tell me much about the territory because the maps were so bad. They lied about the samples as well. The force ranking of the reps is THE WORST thing I heard at the meeting. The 2014 extension means nothing. They can cancel it tomorrow if they want to. The bonus is laughable. Several have said that the meeting will set the tone for the launch, and I think it did just that. They had a chance to do something big here but missed the opportunity.

The only thing that shocked me was the people that post on here that thought this was going to be a good job. This thing had POS on it from the very beginning. The only thing this contract was good for was if you were desperate and needed something to carry you over until you find another job. Anyone that thinks this thing is lasting more than 6 months is kidding yourself.

All true, but I think it could be big, but all of the above, especially the force ranking, has really put a damper over everything. How can you co,pare two territories, compare them one-to-one, when one may have 5 times the number of births than the other, and expect them to be judged equally? That is incredibly stupid! One state may have outstanding managed care coverage and another may not. There was no provision made for the differences in territories, rx data, etc.

Not good.

Amen, and that's why I packed my shit and left, the disrespect, they didn't want to let us up to pee after 2hours of say, "in summary, just to summaries the summary that I just mentioned I would summarize I would now like to give you the quick summary of that in order to summarize." Love the scare tactics, this is the only company that doesn't let you add a few of your own apps to be able to do things like start your car in the heat or cold, or simply have something that makes you feel like you belong a little, but nope, they will fire you. The expense reporting is ridiculous and there is an expenses system called Certify that you can do on your iPhone, easy as taking a photo of the receipt, it uploads to certify, and you put in description and doctors who attended as well as staff, couldn't be easier.

Lets do it the Publicis hard way, good luck to those who remain, but I'm out of here, already got another job for 15 grand more per year on a multi billion dollar drug. I only hung out here to see what it was about get paid for training, went on a real interview with tables and shit, and not a couch in the embassy suites, with real managers who know what a professional should be treated like. Good luck to those that stayed but there is no market to break into unless you resort to begging.

So you were at the meeting and left from there? $15,000 more! Good for you! I will admit, I've never seen a meeting where the main theme was "redundancy"! And the threats about not going to the bathroom were absolutely amazing. Having to report every single dime on an expense report is ridiculous! There should be a $25 cutoff. Everyone was talking about the lack of a real bonus program, and the force ranking. I'm afraid this one will be good for about 6 months at best. The car allowance should be $600 a month. The real test will be to see how the managed care coverage is actually going to be, and not what they said it was.

I think all of us had high hopes going to the meeting. I will give it my best shot but I've alredy started looking too. What a shame.

So at $15K more, didn't you just piss away $1K by wasting a few weeks here?

And if money is not important, why are you bragging about a measly $15K bump?

I will call bullshit here, but not in the other thread where you posted the same exact crock of shit.

D'OH!!!

The 10 to 12 calls a day are insane and not even in the realm of possibility. Just because there ar 5 docs in a group doesn't mean that you can see all 5 in one call for God's sake! Management is insane.

10 to 12 per day is BS! Have a friend that's in that contract, and they say the territory is so big that it's impossible to work it the way it should be worked. Add on 10 to 12 "required" docs per day and you have a real joke of a territory. Just do your best and continue to look. That's what we all are doing.

If you made any sense asshole then you would be dangerous. What don't you get cheese dick? More money, more bonus, and I have a real blockbuster so left this company in the dust., What the fuck are you talking about pissing away 1k? I made 2K training, and then left the place in the dust when I quickly found out what I knew was true in that this drug is a dog. Publicis is a joke of an organization also. Where did I say money wasn't important? Uh Sales right? Money is important. You however are perfect for Pubic-less!

People are quitting in droves from this contract. Duchesnay really low balled the salaries/bonus and now people are voting with their feet. Doesn't look good.

What's not to love. A crappy product with huge territories and high calls per day. Throw in bad pay and bonus. Sounds like a dream job to me. Anyone know how many have left total so far.
