Thank goodness it's over!
Watching them stretch the presentations was painful. There was absolutely no reason whatsoever to meet for 5 full days! No samples until fall. Hard to believe. I guarantee you once you see just how bad the managed care coverage is when they actually try and get a rx filled, you are going to be shocked. Tier 3 ain't going to cut it.
The bonus plan has to be the worst ever devised in pharma history. Force ranking one territory vs another is beyond unfair. That puts all territories on the exact same footing with respect to sales potential, which is of course, ridiculous. They are obviously metrics crazy which you would never expect from a small company. The territories are incredibly huge, and with them mandating 10 to 12 calls per day, AND mandating using that horrible IVA on EACH MD, that are going to make liars out of all of us. Add on endless ride-a-longs and you have a recipe for total failure.
Wj=hat a shame, I really had high hopes for this contract. I will be submitting resumes tomorrow, and go full time on my job search.
The force ranking thing, no samples, nightmare directions on using the CVA, gigantic territories with "foot-on-the back-of-your-neck" metric requirements (10 to 12 calls per day while driving 300 miles that day!), have killed the excitement around this contract. Wait until the managed care push back starts. The fake excitement in the rooms was hilarious!
I'll do the best that I can, but I am looking every day too.

I am sad that this company ruined this oppourtunity they treated us like children at the meeting and made it clear how hard they want us to work for little reward. I thought this could have been a good laid back job with a decent drug to sell, but this meeting proved this is a nightmare and must look for a new job immediately!
Amen, and that's why I packed my shit and left, the disrespect, they didn't want to let us up to pee after 2hours of say, "in summary, just to summaries the summary that I just mentioned I would summarize I would now like to give you the quick summary of that in order to summarize." Love the scare tactics, this is the only company that doesn't let you add a few of your own apps to be able to do things like start your car in the heat or cold, or simply have something that makes you feel like you belong a little, but nope, they will fire you. The expense reporting is ridiculous and there is an expenses system called Certify that you can do on your iPhone, easy as taking a photo of the receipt, it uploads to certify, and you put in description and doctors who attended as well as staff, couldn't be easier.
Lets do it the Publicis hard way, good luck to those who remain, but I'm out of here, already got another job for 15 grand more per year on a multi billion dollar drug. I only hung out here to see what it was about get paid for training, went on a real interview with tables and shit, and not a couch in the embassy suites, with real managers who know what a professional should be treated like. Good luck to those that stayed but there is no market to break into unless you resort to begging.

The 10 to 12 calls a day are insane and not even in the realm of possibility. Just because there ar 5 docs in a group doesn't mean that you can see all 5 in one call for God's sake! Management is insane.
So at $15K more, didn't you just piss away $1K by wasting a few weeks here?
And if money is not important, why are you bragging about a measly $15K bump?
I will call bullshit here, but not in the other thread where you posted the same exact crock of shit.
D'OH!!!
People are quitting in droves from this contract. Duchesnay really low balled the salaries/bonus and now people are voting with their feet. Doesn't look good.
Basically it's a specialty position with primary care pay. People will continue to leave.
