Have you ever seen anything that would make you expect something different? That’s so encouraging. I can’t tell you how proud I am to tell people I work for AZ.

AZ and the other Pharma companies are lining the pockets of politicians - that’s why our “public servants” are all wealthy - so it’s a self feeding eco system. It’s all performance art with AZ. They will push vaccines if that keeps them good with the government. That allows guys like Gilot to tell you to hit the back door. They virtue signal everything, but at the end of the day they’re just greedy corporate types.
We’re greedy, but we’re not stupid. You’d think a liability would be obvious when it’s staring at you through a laptop video camera. It’s all performance art with AZ. Liabilities to AZ are those of us who tell the truth. That’s why we have to remain anonymous. We’re greedy, but we’re not stupid. You’d think a liability would be obvious when it’s staring at you through a laptop video camera.
All this corruption is killing America.AZ and the other Pharma companies are lining the pockets of politicians - that’s why our “public servants” are all wealthy - so it’s a self feeding eco system.
these are just words on paper, they don’t actually mean anything. You shouldn’t take this seriously, but you’re correct, it’s pretty sad to think that we claim doing the right thing and putting patients first when we have leaders who push us to “get creative” during a pandemic. Actions always speak louder than words. Our values
- We follow the science.
- We put patients first.
- We play to win.
- We do the right thing.
- We are entrepreneurial.
Thought I’d add some humor to your weekend.
Don’t forget chicks in charge, there’s huge woke mileage there.Solution:
keep Back Door Bob so he can continue to “motivate reps to sell”, then post our values over a rainbow flag for pride month so we can virtue signal that we’re a caring, compassionate, ethical company. It’s that easy!!!!
Amen sister! I don’t know Bob well, so I don’t have anything against him personally, but seriously? This is not really a forum for serious discussion , but all banter aside, isn’t it time we replaced some of the silly men with women who have both experience and the aptitude to lead in Pharma? Let’s be serious, if a woman had released that message, she would be ridiculed for the remainder of her career at AstraZeneca. I know some of my executive-level colleagues get this, so why is it so hard to do? Don’t pay people like this to leave either, goodness knows we let go of plenty of good people without a parachute - particularly if we can’t point to performance. Simply wish him well in his future endeavors and move on!
Company needs to do the right thing, I’m fine staying in field but pull managers out of field. Country is at the highest levels of transmission , our customers are stressed to max without having to deal with dog & pony show.
The worst part about all of this was reps were getting into trouble for trying to work around Covid by actually being creative but ethical, then this guy asked us to be creative but in an unethical way and nothing happened to him. It’s no wonder there’s no trust in leadership, and just wait, these same leaders will likely call us over the holidays and read us cards that tell us if we’ve been retained or let go. There are no real leaders at AZ.How is it that other large companies (Lilly, BI, Merck) legal departments deemed it too risky to send reps in the field during covid?
But AZ not only allowed it, but pushed it. I was dinged for low call averages bc I was only doing virtual. I finally did go into the field bc I felt I was going to lose my job and I got covid!
I feel incredibly guilty that I may have spread covid to customers. And of course the life long repercussion to my own health.
I know 2 other reps that felt pushed and got Covid. Wondering if there are other out there that experienced similar thing?
Love it! You just have to keep laughing at all the absurdly stupid shit we’re living with right now.
Yep, that’s how you end up with a guy telling you to track docs down at the back door acting like he actually cares about you and your family. What a joke this place is.Love it! You just have to keep laughing at all the absurdly stupid shit we’re living with right now.
AZ has had a bad reputation for several years now, much of it linked to poor leaders. We are known for aggressively promoting demographics, and that hasn’t helped. It is clear this company doesn’t know how to handle COVID either. Many reps were harassed for tying to make things happen during the pandemic, and some were actually fired all while the company pushed us to be unsafe - see the Gilot video for evidence of this. This is not the place people want to work.AZ really did handle the COVID situation terribly. Most of the Pharma companies were much better about taking care of their employees, and the lack of concern by our leadership won’t be forgotten any time soon. There will likely be cuts again soon, and if there are, that will be two reductions in the field force since we were basically thrown back into the field while the rest of the industry protected their people. You have to wonder what this does to the long term reputation of this organization.
