Such a great economy!! Lot of major layoffs this year alone. Not a single Pharma job within 100 miles of my home and my state pays unemployment max of $427/week.

Screw you AZ!! You knew months ago yet play your layoffs games regularly. To the survivors - do just enough to keep the paycheck coming and always be looking for a better job. AZ will do this again in a year or two.

Be happy that the new administration cares about working Americans. Workers’ rights will be stronger than ever with righteous men like Elon and Donald. Common men who care for common Americans not elites like librarians and preK teachers. The true enemies of the state!

Inside reps make 35-40 calls per day compared to 7-9 calls per day for a field rep. I imagine even the most disconnected pharma executive can do basic math. When does it ever make sense to pay more and get less?

Not only have I done other things in pharma besides the rep role, but I also worked (and did very well) at a real medical sales job - the ones where you get purchase orders and contracts signed. I even worked in Marketing, so I know how the bullshit flows.

There is no way in hell an inside sales person on a phone is talking to 35-40 doctors per day. Staff? Sure. But not doctors. No way.

If those inside sales reps are saying they are speaking to that many doctors, they are lying. And the "managers" listening in on the calls are also lying, to keep their jobs. If you believe them, you are an imbecile.

Using absurdity to try and make a point is in fact absurd. But that is the kind of thinking that got MAGA rocking again. Deal with it. Maybe you can ask for a nice blankie for Xmas so you have it to stay warm as you rock back and forth in your fetal position.
 


















AZ did it again!! Are you surprised???? Year after year we've been seeing this happening. Wrong business decisions by senior leadership. Even though they're laid off get out with hefty packages that you & I can't even dream of! In the world of Baldi it's a routine. On top of that the stupid HR partner who doesn't know anything but AZ throws the same script on our face & shows fake sympathy!! No one can stand by her!! Total BS!!

What is the severance package? Do you lose the unvested lti?
 






everything is sent to your personal email addres. Your package explains it all. You have until Jan 14Th 2025 to sign and send back in order to receive your total severance package. between now and then, you will receive regular pay as per the WARN act so you are still considered gainfully employed. Once Jan 14th is up, you will receive a lump sum of your severance which is based upon years service to the compan.
BE MINDFUL: if you start a new job before Jan 14th, your severance is NULL.
just a PSA for those that have not been on the job market for a while.
unfortunately, this round of AZ slaughter has hurt some amazing veterans that span decades. All of you crazies enjoying the political rhetoric and complaining about the current state of affairs…..curb it. I’ve been in pharma for 30 years. And have never seen so much talent and tenure let go. All at once. Ever.
 






Well said. At least they vest all of our LTI. That was a surprise to me and appreciated...will likely need it as we try to find a job in a market that is flooded with thousands of laid off reps from lots of top companies. Network like hell now if possible because its going to be a mad rush in January to find a new spot. Layoffs here and pretty much anywhere we land are simply part of the business...so much so that lets' face it...we are mercenaries that are basically temp workers hoping to find a 5 or 10 year spot knowing full well that most position's are going to be far shorter in length. Good luck everyone!
