These CSA Positions are for people that have never been reps before, they do not detail, they only sample drop, and this is a pt gig, so 35k is great!
This is not a part time gig. It is 40 hours.

Thats funny because I just spoke to KB Monday and have a phone screen set for Friday. Quit posting false info
After making 130 thousand dollars a year in pharma sales for about the last 5 years of my career, I found that sort of payoff was a thing of the past while looking for other jobs, post big pharma lay offs.
Oh, I found jobs and I worked but I couldn't find anything that didn't pay over 30,000 dollars a year plus bonus and oh....use my own, old car, with supplemental coverage for wear and tear plus gas. Making my yearly income about 40 thousand a year.
I'd much rather take this job as a CSA, the work isn't a demeaning as to what I have resorted myself to doing...there I said it and no I'm not going to tell you (except it's ALL LEGAL)..
Does anyone know exactly when this contract ENDS?
Well, it seems they are considering experienced reps. I am one, and I have been called for an interview this week. They are running on a pretty tight timeline: Offers/acceptances by 1/25. Home study begins 2/20. Training in Delaware week of 2/27. In the field as of 3/5. Nexium, Crestor, Symbicort. DMs currently being hired, CSA interviews being conducted by interim DMs (not ones that will ultimately be your boss).
Pay $35,xxx, 15% bonus paid solely on activity metrics, not MS or grwoth, because its officially a non-selling job. $500 monthly car allowance and mileage at .17/mile.
I have Offers/acceptances by 1/31. Home study begins 2/27. Training 3/5; in the field 3/12. Did you have to do a survey?
There's just something I don't understand about this, and I hope someone will give an honest answer (as honest as possible considering that no one really knows for sure)
They're hiring a multitude (100s?) across the country. For a contract that ends in December. With training both at home and away, meaning some bucks invested.
Does it make sense that the contract would 'really' end in December? Or is there any talk about it being extended? And if it does end in December, how likely is it to be rehired within another contract? Especially if there really are hundreds being hired.
Again, honesty and candor appreciated, likely by many of us. Thank you.

Ya know if I'm offered this job, I'm not sure I'll even take it now. My current job isn't great but at least it will continue past Dec 2012, which is definitely something to consider. My guess is there probably ARE many thinking or wondering the same thing.
If anyone would kindly, and honestly, and did I mention kindly? please give some insight on this?

No one knows for sure but the DM I interviewed with last week did say he does not forsee why this contract would not extend. This is the 3rd year for the ext and they are hiring 300 new CSA's and investing money to train so I don't see why they would do that if they didn't intend to keep them more than 1 year.
I was told that offer would be here today 1/25 but it seems that others are saying it was extended. Anyone get an offer yet from a DM???
