Pathetic? Stupid? WHY are you on this thread?! Obviously you are interested but didn't get hired! There are some who are transitioning back to the workforce after having children, yes some are new grads, others who got laid off & would rather work than be out of a job. whining about how one can "do way better selling anything than..." & calling people stupid & pathetic for doing honest work sounds like jealously to me.
Very well put.
This is a good job in any economy and a very good job in this economy, however, there is no development of the sales rep in this job. This makes this job good for the new grad looking to get in, and the vet that has money and want to work with less stress.
For reps in the middle of there career, I would say this is a terrible job, because you are not going to grow in your career. Look for something with more stability, or find a company that can develop you as a value to their organization. This company just kisses the ass of the company they are working with, which is good for them, but bad for the workers. That is always the case for contract type jobs.
As an ambitious person, this contract is driving me nuts. But, its all I can find. And I keep getting rejected for higher end jobs (always close, but no hire).
Its definitely a frustrating time to be looking in this job market, if you want to better yourself.
