CIBA VISION OPENINGS!!!

I think all of the offers for LA and DC have been made and I would assume if you don't hear by the end of today for NC then you didn't get it. There's quite a bit of paperwork that has to be filled out prior to starting, plus the b/g check and the drug test which takes 3 days to get the results. My understanding is EVERYONE is starting on May 3 due to the strict training schedule. There would be no reason for the managers to put off an giving an offer for so long - especially when most people need to give a 2 week notice. I don't believe the candidate care line is going say ANY positions are filled until May 3. Sorry to be so harsh but some people need to stop making excuses and start looking for something else.

I would have to agree here, I interview in DC, I’ve already received my laptop, offer letter and my travel arrangements have been made for the start of training. I think the show is over for those of you who have not even received a phone. Thanks and good night, don’t forget to tip your bartenders and waiters going out, Thank you!!!

Giving up my old company car friday. Any word on the type of cars we are given and when will they be delivered?

I got my computer today too. Did anyone fill out an amx application yet or do you think that will be covered during orientation? Just curious bc I know we have to pay for our own hotel cost (which will be expensed).

I am excited. Looking forward to meeting all of you in training.

Congrats on getting your new job, I agree that it's time to move on for everyone else. Try and use a little more tact in the future.

Does anyone know who go the Indianapolis or South Bend positions? I think it is really rude of Ciba not to inform candidates that the position has been filled.

No kidding, I am shocked that they took the time and $ to fly people out to IV's who have experience and just leave them hanging. VERY unprofessional!

Completely agree..it sucks. I'm sure the dolts on the candidate "care" line are telling everyone that calls in that the position has yet to be filled and that "final decisins are still being made" or whatever else their screen tells them to say. I'm sure that is not the case and some time next week when everybody that got positions shows up for work having passed the bg check and drug screen the positions will have some how been filled just then, yeah right. Even if you were second or third choice, I'm sure nobody cares, it would have been more professional to be up front from the beginning...

I iv'd in NC on the 14th (last Wednesday), and had 3 sessions that were so well, they asked if I could take a later flight home, as they wanted me to meet 2 more people. As a result, I had a total of 5 round of iv's and met my entire chain-of-command, including the VP of Sales, and they all seemed to have given me the thumbs up!

It's now a week later, and still no word. Sent a follow-up email to the hiring manager on Friday. Called the care-line yesterday, they said they are still making finally decisions, and my position is still open, and I should hear something by the end of this week.

Yet like everyone else, the anticipation is "killing" me! I jump for joy each time the phone rings, then sigh with disappointment that it's not them calling. Anyway, good luck to you all. And like you, I hope I land this job too!

Any news for you? I was in the same position.

They (Ciba/Novartis) are still actively searching for candidates in NC. Recieved phone call this morning after posting for position last week. Just an FYI, if you IV'd 3-5 times & haven't heard anything, it is probably not gonna fly. Not trying to dampen any spirits, just being real.

Are there any experienced reps at Ciba? It seems like they're starting from scratch. Why the huge surge in getting so many reps on board at one time? Is this going to turn into big pharma?
