You do realize it’s possible for you to still transmit the virus, even if you don’t develop symptoms because you are vaccinated, right? That, and the efficacy of the vaccines against the new variants looks to be reduced.

Astra Zeneca wrote a letter for their reps to be considered in the healthcare worker group. Spoke with an AZ rep today who got his first dose last week. I also know several device reps who used an attestation letter from their company to get the vaccine.

Apparently it's the companies providing the direction, and not sure if it is state dependent as criteria are different even county by county. Agree, real healthcare workers and elderly need to go first, also teachers who are in live classrooms and any first responders!

I like many will wait for our turn with the vaccine. However, we go into 6-9 offices per day and interact with office staff, HCP’s and are in the lobbies and waiting rooms with patients. So I’m not saying we should leapfrog anyone elderly or who has comorbidities but we should’ve been prioritized if they expected us to be out there exposing those people and ourselves and families and friends and strangers potentially with Covid.

Are you going in without an appointment or their expecting you? Maybe scale back your interactions for the time being until you get your vaccination. The company cannot mandate that you work out there like it was in 2019

I called my county health department, told them exactly what I do and they immediately scheduled me for a vaccination. Your county/state may have different layers of qualifications but there are plenty of places where reps qualify right now.
