Maybe current AZ is soulless but our AZ was filled with great managers and hard working field reps. We built a big pharma company and are proud of our accomplishments. AZ was good to me and my family!

When we were reps, nobody provided lunch for the office staff! We sat down with the doc and DETAILED our products. It was product knowledge and professional respect that SOLD. Sorry that our profession devolved to food delivery and sample drops. Glad I was in pharma when reps mattered.
It's not the same company anymore. I've witnessed the changes. The present leadership team is too busy micromanaging & keeping check on people. I moved from field to HQ in Wilmington & have seen the worst environment ever! As leaders we've been ask to check when our teams come in & go out keeping track of every movement & my manager does the same for me. It feels like a prison than professional workplace. No trust left, no collaboration but we have been playing detectives!!! HR VP is a cuckoo, very inefficient with no presence of her own. She doesn't have a clue what's going on around & only dances with leaders. I asked HR VP about enterprise priority and I&D initiative & she gave me corporate jargon. SHe clearly hates diversity in workplace. This is what happens when you hire inexperienced people at leadership positions......Y'all remember the time he intercepted the ball and his pants fell off, and he ran for the touchdown bare ass?
I was an early 90s AZ employee, and it was pretty crappy then too. Probably worse now, but it was never great.Sorry to hear that AZ is not the company it used to be. We had trust and fun during the 80s and 90s! Everyone was on a mission to rapidly grow the business and be in the same tier as Merck, Lilly, and Pfizer. We did it - a hard working TEAM.

Thanks, my point exactly! The sales force's sales performance drove the creation of AZ! We were truly one of the best sales forces in the industry. I would say AZ was good to me!AZ wasn’t a company in the 80”s and 90’s. You had Zeneca, AstraMerck, Astra US, Merck, Stuart, ISI that through M&A’s finally became AZ. AZ started in 99’ or 2000.
Did you like the taste of your boss’s Johnson then too?Remember the Crestor launch in Hawaii! That was so much fun and I really enjoyed all the collaboration amongst so many of my colleagues. I can still remember our tag line of 10 = 40. Such a great catch phrase to be able to show clinically how our 10mg of Crestor had better lipid reduction than Pfizer's 40mg Lipitor. Such fun times!
