Associate Reps?????

When a pharma companies openings appear online in LinkedIn or similar, cafe pharma is swamped by interested applicants asking about the company. There is none of that. Is that due to the reputation earned by Vanda leadership as a toxic environment or just no interest to jump through the unrealistic hoops to get a low paying shit job?

current NSRs will be expected to mentor the new ANSRs but the expectations will be similar. We are digging our own hole if an ANSR does well as Dr Poly will just speed up the Wave 2 round of firings. Most of the higher paid reps were cut in Wave 1 regardless of performance. Also, ANSRs will resent NSRs since they are making more money. Anyone who thinks there is a caring or compassionate bone in Dr Crazy is insane. He cruelly fired many good, ethical, smart reps and the purposefully and cruelly posted the ANSR jobs the following monday. What kind of sadist would do this? We are ALL fucked. This starts with NSRs and AMs are next.
With the fucked up and twisted philosophies at Vanda, it will be the fault of current NSRs if ANSRs do not well. I care less. They will crash and burn with or without my help. I still can't believe the stupidity running this shit show.

I feel very badly for anybody actually hired as an ANSR. They are making shit money for the sheer hell of working for this criminal enterprise. They will hated by NSRs and DSMs as they no absolutely nothing about the industry and Vanda offers no training other than how to sell off label. I'm sure they won't bother to tell the ANSRs that is actually illegal.

Thank you for all of the warnings. I'm glad I was told by both current and past employees and others in the pharmaceutical industry to check it out the Vanda cafe pharma board. I was already 75% sure I was no longer interested based upon the very strange job description. It seems like a very bad place to start a career if even a small fraction of what I was told and read about management and leadership is true.

You dodged a bullet. It's not just a bad place, it's the worst of the worst. I was there and escaped a while back to a real pharma company. I still can't shake the stench of Vanda but I no longer mention it as my past employer. I grew tired of the "OMG, I can't believe you worked there" reactions.

lol, isn't that the truth. When mentioning Vanda, the response are either 1. Never heard of Vanda or 2. A look of surprise like "are you serious, do you have no pride? or 3. Sympathy and desire to tell you that it will be alright, life will get better.

No reputable company has a "hit list" of employees that asked a question or asked for clarification of a policy. And absolutely forget about that lie of an open door policy or not retaliating about those that voice concern over being demanded to do unethical and illegal things. There is NO ONE left at Vanda other than a few complete suck ups to CEO that do not dread every single day in this quickly crumbling piece of shit company
well said!

anyone actually do an interview yet? I bet they don’t even know what cafe Pharma is to look on here and see what they are in for. I wonder how many people actually applied to these positions? Any updates?

Wow. Dr Poly wants a Cracker really does not value experience. Old timers here remember when there was a top notch CCO, Tom and Hetlioz and Fanapt NSDs Kelly and David that had personality and how to sell. That's old history, they ran far away. Remember a marketing department with Kate and years of experience and a personality and Jen and Gabrielle, two very competent and experienced (and approachable) marketing pros shoved out the door and replaced by Ploy's daughter and her chums from elementary school. ALL gone know and this is what Vanda wants, NO MENTION OF MARKETING EXPERIENCE:

an "interest" in health care marketing....
why require an MBA for a marketing job?? The best marketing people are creative types. An MBA is appropriate for sales management, not marketing. How stupid is this?? I can not believe the crazies are back to the essay writing again. That failed before but here we go again. No wonder Vanda is the joke of the industry.

WTF. Is this for real,? Anyone they hire will be temporary white looking for a real job.

I wonder what BS is being told to the assNSR candidates. Is it the same lies that were told to us when hired? We were told that Vanda is pursuing in injectable formulation of Fanapt (FALSE) or that stock options are around the corner (FALSE) or you will be treated as a business owner of your own territory (FALSE) or the company would never encourage off label selling (FALSE FALSE FALSE and then FALSE) or management has your back (FALSE x 1000).... I could go on and on and on.....
