ARI Firings







The best way to protect yourself and be treated fairly is to unionize. Unions are in place when faith is lost in managements ability to lead.

You are retarded if you think we would get a better deal under a union. Do you really think we would get the 401k match, the more than fair pay, the perks with all the programs and ferm seminars and whatnot if this place had a union in here?

If you think this place needs a union, you should go work in a paper mill.
 






Wow, that was impressive and motivating! Life @ ARI is great, blah, blah, blah. You must have attended one of the three Union busting meetings over the past year, but failed to comprehend that the desire to Unionize is about the failures of management and leadership.

I will agree that Amgen pays well, provided great opportunities for development (amongst peer companies, Amgen is average), but those days are long gone my friend.

It's hard to look past dollars in this economic condition, however no amount of money compensates for poor leadership and management.

Staff stay at ARI because of the "golden handcuffs" you describe. The cuffs are present at all levels trust me. I'd rather be surrounded by colleagues that what to be at work rather than phonies like you.
 






A union is needed corrupt lies and false accusations from management and hr dept might have saved jobs of good employees terminated because of sleezy practice by hr and department managers. A union could have saved many people without it you are at the mercy of a corrupt policy. A employee will never win without representation. Amgen hr is no ones friend for those who think they are there to help you THINK AGAIN.
 






If you really think a union would make life better at Amgen then you're "F"ed in the head. I'm not saying Amgen is the greatest. It's been a lot better in the past, but adding a union to the mix would only be good for the UNION. They would get your dues and be in bed with the company and you'd still get it broke off in your A55.

Starting next week they will go back over criminal, credit and back round checks and try to look for ways to fire another 100 plus people.

So let me see I go to the town (Hall) meeting and hear the five year plan and how we are not meeting the company’s production attrition rate whatever that is then I hear on Monday there going to send out a survey on what shift you would like to be (by Choice of course) on mmmm and of course they tell us this is to balance the shifts, and why do we need to balance the shifts? Well I think the writing is on the wall people.
Let’s just say you don’t want to move I like where I am and what shift I’m on. I think they will take the low performers put them on a shifts they don’t want to be on and make it as miserable for you as possible and make you leave oh look we now have an attrition rate in production. I bet they will strip down the size of the quality groups (QA, QC) and send 30-40 into production?

You speak of poor management...tell me, would bringing the union in here do anything but add another layer of management? You would be managed by the company, and by the the union. And we know the union manages perfectly, just ask any laid off autoworker.
 












Has anyone noticed everyone fired in the past months have been male not one female employee has been let go in some cases where female employees created problems they remain employed and their involvement is covered up.

Legaly they can not withhold this information and they can be prosicuted by law. They will
automaticly lose the case for withholding that information by RI state law.


I heard on Friday that there were two people let go from different departments. Not sure if it's true or not????

Sounds like a HR statement or female employee? Any male at ari amgen has no chance right or wrong the man is always wrong this site is run by women there has been many cases where female employees should have been let go and and nothing happens. I have never seen any male be a threat to the company or anyone at that site yet only men are fired. You sound like a troublemaker maybe you will be trimmed.

Everyone knows ARI production is over staffed there looking for any excuse to get rid of people there will be more people let go especially in production.


As for me I am out of that place its one of the most volatile places I have ever worked at never have I seen back stabbing and lies to this extent and the only good thing that has come from me time there is I can take all that training, time and money that Amgen has put into me and use it somewhere else for more money and a better environment
To work.

The back stabbing and lies is rampant at ARI but you know what they say you are only as good as your leaders.
