ARI Firings







"we are all guilty of that"? I have always badged to enter any building. If you are not doing that then you have violated an SOP that was one of the first ones you read when you got hired. The simplest of things to do and you cant comply?

As for DD. I know her well. I have not worked for her but I know people who do. If you do what you are supposed to do you wont have a problem with her. She is strong on safety and procedures. Whats wrong with that? In the environment that we work in those two things are very important. If you find it hard working for someone that wants you to follow the SOPs and safety procedures then maybe she is not the problem and you will have a problem with anyone you work under in the future.

Yeah my response is - Until you DO work for her, shut the hell up. Amgen proves they want "team" players, as long as you are on the 'right' team. Being qualified to perform the daily duties of the position she occupies is just not important, obviously. MFS crews have been working this environment for years and know the problems (and have been reporting them just as long) If she know enough about the reality of MFS procedures and not just the bullet item SOP stuff, the crew may tolerate her more. But she is just in to shake things up for the sake of it, skipping over REAL priorities for the 'safety' shit she knows. Show me one less accident that has occurred since all these Safety-related initiatives have started up...
I thought so.
...and firing for piggybacking has got to be the lowest-not to worry, someone will top that soon enough (time for another top-ten list)
 






Never Piggybacked in over 5 years. I have gone on the internet but that is allowed by Amgen policy as long as it does not interfere with you work or result in overtime. Part of my job requires me to research products online so I am on the internet alot.

We are getting off the subject. DDs management style will result in more responsible staff members. I dont see the problem you have with her.

Well DD does it again. Another highly qualified instrumentation technician gone. See DD nobody likes you get a life get a new job. It's just a matter time before you won't have enough qualified people to do the job. I hope you're happy. I'm sick and tired of seeing your pathetic face every morning. Just remember my smile every morning I see you. And I'll enjoy the nice bonus you give me every year, even though I despise you. You're doing a bang up job DD, and your little butt f$#k friend KG. she can only cover your a$$ so much. DD you're going to be next on the chopping block. The state of Rhode Island will catch up with you and your unethical managerial practices. So enjoy your job while you can. Because you wont have it very much longer, I'll make sure that. I agree with the last post, DD is a cancer to this organization, and I also despise her unethical approach to management. She will bring down this department within time. How many qualified technicians does Amgen need to see get fired or leave before something is done to DD.
 






This goes out to all the techs left at ARI. Keep your head down, seems the safest place is under your desk. I left Amgone a few months ago, after four good years and one not so good. I could see the writing on the wall, and boy am I happy with the choice of leaving, but feel nothing but pain for all of you. I could not work for DD or her cronie DA. It's funny how no one in MFS whined until DD showed up. We were a well balanced TEAM till she showed up. But I guess that's her MO. Imagine what her husban must feel like. He's probably her bi#ch too, just like DA and KG. Oh wait DD is KG's bi$ch, or DA's, DD's bi@ch. I don't know everyone's in management is licken each others a$$'s. It's really pathetic.
 






Big, tough, maintenance techs. What a bunch of ^%&$ whiners!

Must be management, DD, or HR. The maintenance folks at Amgen are top notch (of course there are a few exceptions) and unfortunately they are all scared as hell to make mistakes. The only thing DD and company are accomplishing by their "first pass quality" (which means your fired if you make a mistake) is make anything the mechanics perform take twice as long. Granted safety is the number one concern but keeping everyone scared is not the way to do it......unless you are looking for attrition.... which is the case. So here is what you do; check, double check, triple check, have it verified , double verified, then have it triple verified by one of those manufactuiring folks, then check it again. DD great concept, maybe someone should create a CI to see how much money you are costing the company with your "management skills".

The fact is ARI is top heavy in management, DD and the majority of incompetant managers should be the first to go, ARI would not miss a beat.

Heard two more fired on friday who were they? why? seems every couple of months people are being walked out. Could this be downsizing or start of RIF same thing happened before last RIF?
 






Watch yourself at ARI;
They have been going back 90 days and looking at badge in times and comparing them to your time cards. They are looking to get rid of at least 200 head counts or shove it in your face at review time.

They need to reduce the head count by 200 or get a second product slated for full production.The slow down in the natural atrition due to the current job market will force another RIF before summer.

FYI: I was fired 3 months ago and denied unemployment. I won my case when I explained that the site was over staffed and termination reasoning was not equal across all the staff.

Hint to win your case: People do something and do not get fired but some will get fired for the same thing. It has alot to do with some departments being stuffed with staff and others running on a bare minimum.

I also was terminated 3 months ago and denied unemployment benefits do not sign anything until you seek legal council you are entitled to unemployment benefits. The reasoning is not equal across staff it was discusting the reasoning they used to reduce staff in my dept it was random selection to reduce headcount.
