I don't think Storz will fill those vacancies. They will likely need to save $$ by cutting these for end of year numbers. It won't help much, but ML has to do SOMETHING to try and save the Titanic. :/
The guy left on his own. Going somewhere better....More Details to follow, however I suspect more people are seeing the writing on the wall and are preparing to give notice.

ML's top marketing team - MW, PD, SD & LP.....Who are they? What are they? Never hear a peep from them? I think Charlie & Bill needs to put them under a microscope and realize that Airway's Markting Team isn't doing anything for the company.....
I used to be an Airway Rep with Storz. Can't say that any of these posts surprise me (there's almost 4 pages of these, ha). The writing was on the wall a LONG time ago, which is why many of us left. Is ML still wasting your time with weekly call reports? LOL Good luck with end of Q3 & Q4. Make sure not to sell too much so that ya have some stuff to sell in 2013
I would think 98% of the current Airway Sales Force would agree with this statement. We need doers in this company, not wannabees who think they are marketing people. I wonder if any of them even have a degree in marketing. I would bet my last commission check they don't.

Can you give us more details about how the division was when you were around? Why did you leave and where did you go ...device, pharma, other???

Not many details to give, from reading all of these previous posts I'd say that the division hasn't changed a bit.
No, she/he sounds like someone trying to plan out their future after Airway. I don't plan to be an Airway rep for the remainder of my career so it would be interesting to see what options I have for the future. It's not like we ever have openings for Core Rep positions, so we need to think outside the box of Storz.
Heard from a colleague that he left on his own due to he wasn't making the $$$ needed to support his family. Also heard he was a nice guy, hard worker and had something this company & the Airway group needs to learn.....INTEGRITY!
I would advise all my fellow Airway Reps to start pre-planning their options, update their resumes, use good customers as references and get out of Airway before this "titanic" division goes under. I have sent resumes to many companies and are starting to get some nibbles.
Good rule of thumb, do as I did... get 2 letters of recommendation from a couple SOLID doctors. That goes a very long way.

A good starting place is all the medical device companies on Cafepharma. Go to their respective websites, see if there are any openings and apply. If you want to try pharma, go to those boards and follow the same directions.
I would advise to immediately go to www.medreps.com It'll cost you a little $ to join, but that's where the most solid recruiters post and scout you. There are a couple others, like The Ladders, but MedReps is the best. Good luck, y'all.
www.medreps.com is a great site. I am currently interviewing with two companies and just waiting to get the best offer. Can't wait to say goodbye to this sinking ship division.
Leadership means a lot, too, with people that shoot you straight. At least my RM used to be an actual REP with Storz. I feel bad for the you all in the Western Region. I hear that NateH is a COMPLETE tool. I met this guy and can't figure for the LIFE of me how this guys is managing Reps, let alone ever being a rep with any device company. Must've had an inside contact, because I could think of 4 MUCH more qualified people in-house that actually know about Airway and aren't monotone. Guessing ML was friends with him in a past life?
Come on now, don't you know that KS is a good ole boys club. It's not what you know, its who you know. I have met all three RMs and think they are all poor managers. Look at our great marketing department, there were two recent promotions after BB left and what have they done.....Absolutely Nothing for our division!
All this preparing is great, but remember you need a solid story that you can tell recruiters, hiring manangers and senior management why you are leaving Karl Storz.
