just to step in here, the poster drew a reasonable conclusion based on your one line response. Your justification/Clarification is a really good point, that had you lead with, surely would have elicited a difference response. No need for you to get defensive because your vague statements are interpreted differently than you wish. Own it and move on.
Now, to your excellent question. I think a lot of people are doing just that. I have never seen so many people looking for jobs elsewhere in my many years here from contract to now. While I agree the majority of folks who have left in the past 12-18 months are doing well, I disagree about your assertion that there are plenty of jobs out there. (Of course I’m assuming you mean Pharma jobs. ). The competition for each position is fierce due to the amount of layoffs. The average length of time from when folks start looking and then landing a Pharma job is generally lengthy and generally don’t happen with the first company you interview with. Back in my day it was 4-6 companies on average your interview with before you landed a gig. I can’t think that has gone down. The metric to look at is ‘How many are actively looking to leave’ as opposed to ‘How many have left’. Personally after JR’s message today I feel good at where we are at. However, if I was in Spasticity I’d absolutely be concerned about what’s going on. Every other division has a well defined path and is growing in volume and reps. Spasticity is growing at a paltry rate and they have frozen staffing. That absolutely is a legitimate cause for concern.
that’s my .02. I’ll leave you be
