when did this contract begin and how long is it supposed to run
Well, here we go again! The nightmare training starts up again! While we r in the middle of launching two meds, we start training for a new (although small) indication, but then we are to begin studying (all on own time) for a new med. Have they ever heard of dividing the sales force and give one the pain branch and the other becomes cardiology focused! Now is not the time to divert any attention away from Xar, just as BMS/Pfiaer launches apixaban, we will be launching something else! Someone is not thinking!
Are you really complaining about a series of events that increases our value and leads to more security? WTF are you thinking? Sorry if work cuts into your play time but work is where the paycheck comes from. Quit whining.
Ok if it "cuts into...play time" SOME of the time, but this job doesn't pay enough to take over my whole life. Obviously the person 'complaining' is a dedicated rep who works his/her territory and then spends time at night on all these extra things. Which, BTW is NOT what all Janssen reps do whom BTW are paid a lot more than us and have company car, > benes, vacation, etc. So don't tell me I should give up a part of my personal life and be happy about it!!
I'm guessing the holidays are going to be ruined again this year because of this 'paycheck'.
Same shit on Abbott contract..... Give your soul to them, do all the wok and get a giant foot in the ass as soon as they can. I didn't take this job at partial pay for the stress I've taken on.
WTF!!!! Can they give us any more work to do???!!!!
Then just quit and work at finding work, don't be such a pussy.
Evan, aren't you too busy to be posting here?
It's sad.
All we are told is that "everything is coming up roses" with the contract.
What do we see?
Vacant territories that are not being filled (both Janssen & contractor).
Charts of sales that track short of forecast.
What do we experience?
Products for which, if we don't hand-hold each Rx, volume drops.
Something's not right. Most of us know from previous experience what a successful pharma situation looks like. Once you get someone using your product, it sells itself. They don't revert to old habits (and generics) the moment you're not standing there.
Maybe all really is well, and the new diabetes drug will be approved and break open this log jam. That seems to be the horse on which everyone is hanging their hopes.
I think you are describing almost every drug reps situation at this point. My only goal is to try and find enough docs to take my manager to when she works with me for 2 ridiculous days ever 4-5 weeks. Ever watched another rep when they have their DM, you look ridiculous.
Yes, ridiculous, I totally agree! Two days of trying to make small talk, trying to find enough drs to take the dm to so they can observe us doing our jobs! What a waste of time! When will they all wake the hell up and realize that we do not need to have a babysitter monthly! Honestly, I get less done when my manager is with me. I have more luck getting time with "no-see" drs WITHOUT my manager! Why??? Because all drs know that the minute a manager gets back there, a few minutes quickly turns into a waste of their time! Managers like to hear themselves talk and drs simply do not have time for that!
Ours is not a desk job and the only way a manager can evaluate us is in the field. Not by your writings, you ideas on paper, in the meetings etc etc. Face to face with the Doctors is when the rubber meets the road. So what's the problem. Most reps take their managers to the most difficult or nasty doctors as if to teach a lesson. Try doing the opposite and you may be pleasantly surprised. If this job was easy - take it from me no reps would be necessary.
