6517 - What Have You Experienced?

How about the "new" bonus plan?

Typical Janssen... so convoluted that the verbal explanation could be posted on youtube as comedy.

People in large, urban territories will make out well. Those in rural, or small territories will take home the salary and might as well forget about the bonus (of course, after we sign all the stuff for Quintiles about how they aren't obligated to even PAY us the IC plan earnings, and can rescind them any time they want for any reason, it doesn't make much sense to count on it anyway).

Just work your 40 hours and ignore the metrics. What are they going to do, fire you?

I have experienced very insecure Janssen counterparts. Nice to my face and try to take credit for things I do behind my back! I uncovered two lies today from two different offices. Don't people realize that the truth usually prevails. I'm done! Is this the way it is for most contract reps?

Absolutely! It's called self-preservation.

I read a few posts on the 6517 thought to start a thread for us to express our concerns about this project.

First off, why is it that the JNJ reps get to select the best target offices with more potential? This creates call activity and performance that is low so that the JNJ reps look better. Not a fair playing field. Lack of collaboration.

Second, Pradaxa is winning over Xarelto because the cardio reps haven't been calling upon the cardiologists enough to make an impact. My docs won't write a new product and state that they only refill Pradaxa scripts because the cardio doc wrote them. No cardio doc is writing Xarelto in my territory because the cardio rep is focused elsewhere.

Communication is lacking!
It's like 'cochroaches in the dark'. 'When the lights got turned on, where did others in JNJ go?' There are counterparts who are disengaged and hiding.

I can see why the company needed to hire us. I hope that Quintiles management works with JNJ management as consultants to impact positive change. There are plenty of reps out there that want to work and make progress but it is impeded as a result of the above challenges.

What's your take on your situation?

100% agree with this post

Same here.....they lie and treat us like second class citizens then want our budget money bc they are out....what a joke. I'm not overly impressed with any Janssen rep in my territory. I can't even get an email response back from them about territory items. Quintiles may be a good outfit but my DM is nuts and I would never work for them again

The previous posts are accurate. Let's not forget their corporate integrity agreement. These fines and restrictions are usually imposed with good reason. They also increase the pressure to generate extra "empty" revenue to pay the fine in addition to satisfying stockholders who want what is owed them regardless of whatever fine must be paid or however many times the so called "Credo" is recited.

I started this post and I'm glad that I left. They relocated me to a territory that required me to drive back to the other side of the state, where I could have left. It was all due to self-preservation for the JNJ rep-- I should have been allowed to live anywhere in my territory, including the location where he resided.

Fortunate to have gained employment early. I enjoyed my work and did it quite well. Too bad they have to make things difficult for a position that is not permanent to begin with, nor ever will be. Good bye all.

Wonder if we have the same manager? Mine is over the top mentally ill, nuts. Her mood changes every time we talk. So does her direction.
