Malli has jumped the shark. But with that being said, most if not all pharma companies suck.
They all have the same BS structure, conference calls, poa, ride alongs, detail pieces, lame incentive plans that change constantly so no one makes money. Ra Ra NSM that everyone hates. Forced district dine a rounds no one wants to attend, but forced to make believe we want to be at dinner after being with them in meetings all day.
Honestly they are all the same. Merck, j&j etc don't care either about saes force, and get rid of orgs all the time. Wake up people.

I agree, that's why I work as little as possible. Get some things lined up for field rides to make it look good. After that I check out. This year I did less than other years and my numbers were better. So that tells me I'm doing the company a favor by sandbagging. It's a win win. I couldn't tolerate pharma if I had to work everyday.

Let's charge triple the price of an actual suture which surgeons have been using since the beginning of time to close wounds. Better yet, let's give it to a sales force that has never sold anything surgical and have no relationships beyond pharmacy. Lol. This company makes me laugh. Who's genius decision was this acquisition?

Ummm speak for yourself asswipe. Many of "us" have surgical OR and device experience so don't categorize everyone. The real joke is hiring reps who have no hospital experience. Having said all this, everyone is looking for other opportunities. No one is planning to stay here when they try to launch a new product. Are you crazy?

I would stick around and work with that product. The one thing about HSS here is this job is one of a very few that has no counterpart, clust F, POD Alien cross over environment. It's almost a scenario of that kind of structure would be worse than rolling the dice with malli. I would rather go down with this ship than work in a Cluster. Other than the BS leadership, and price increase. This is a pretty good gig. But all pharma companies are such bullshit orgs and they all spew BS that is never true. Honestly Malli is right there with all the others. It's par for the course

I don't agree with you in terms of counterparts. Everything I see out there is one rep and one territory.

with your extensive experience you should have a new job before the end of the month, no? Good luck going to value analysis and materials mgmt with one products that nobody wants. Be sure to tell them how much experience you have

Like we said dickweed, this isn't the only product we have sold in our careers. The average is -over 15 years of hospital and device experience. By the sound of it, the average rep is more qualified for you. Also, many of us have done quite well. So yes, we will tell them how much experience we have because we do. To even go further, many of us could take the first job that comes along but we dont need to. We are very qualified and experienced. Now you, I doubt LOL

So you'll have a better job by the end of the month, given your extensive experience? Or. You'll still around and kill it with the closure device? What's the game plan?

The majority of the sales force is looking and interviewing. The OP was correct in that we are not planning on jumping out of the pan into another fire. In fact, there is one opportunity many will go to, but it won't be until the end of the year. One thing for certain is that everyone wants to exit before there is another product launch. The biggest reason is that this company has one of the worst reputations now and no physician will be willing to put their name on the line to launch a product under this company name. My gameplan? I'm looking and hope to be gone in under 4 months, but I will take my time to find the right opportunity. I don't plan to rush and just take anything as I am not a job jumper. Personally, I can't work for horrible people like this. There is no culture here and it's impossible to respect anyone here. So for me, it's a personal decision. But with a family to support, I can't just quit cold turkey but it's important to me to work for a company that I respect and feel that they value and respect me. I think you would be hard pressed to find any rep that feels valued here and that is a poignant statement.

A recent survey showed the majority of HSS division employees hate working at Mallinckrodt because of terrible decisions made by upper mgmt.

When employees were asked why are they still work here the #1 response was they wanted to hear what terrible decision upper mgmt would make next!

I so agree with this post. I'm giving myself a target date for a new job of 3 months or less. Does anyone like working here? I have yet to meet one.

I am interested in finding out what opportunity might be coming by end of year people are waiting. Honestly to the one poster that wants to be valued. No company values the individual anymore, especially not in pharma. Everyone is a replaceable commodity, and that is why a lot of companies don't backfill they just get CSO's to do the job at half the cost.
When it comes to layoffs, rankings , PC, and experience these don't mean JS. We would like to think they do.
Third party ZS comes in and cleans house because it's about protection from litigation.
All companies suck to one degree or another. Pick your poison.

Listen, I don't care what anyone says. it isn't all doom and gloom at every company. Many people felt valued at Cadence even. So I do believe there are several companies where people feel valued. Like most people on here, I have a good handful of pharmaceutical rep friends and many of them like where they work and feel valued. There is no question that this isn't a horrible place to work. It will be all about timing on when everyone will leave.

Ok, I can agree with you that Cadence was the best I experienced by far. And I was definitely the happiest. Good culture for sure. I should have been more clear on my post. When I said most all pharma sucks that goes to Merck, GSK, j&j, Sanofi, Pfizer BMS, and the list goes on.
